Appearance: Leonine stand on all fours, being a cat-like race with brightly colored fur. These creatures took a different route of evolution than Humans but ended with similar results when it comes to thinking processes. Lenonine usually have a mane from the top of their head down their back which fades before the hind legs form. This is absent in Females but females do have a longer tail than males. It is not uncommon for members of the race to have tribal accessories such as headband or feathers tied into their hair. Leonine years is three times that of a Humans. So by the time a Human would be one, a Leonine will be three. Personality: Leonine are usually quiet and keep to themselves. They hardly speak around humans simply because the reaction they get can get annoying. "Whoa, you can talk!?" gets annoying after a while. Leonine though will generally have a wide spread personality much like Humans. So, trying to describe it for the entire race would be difficult. Background: A tribal race which originated in Cosmo Canyon. A vicious war between tribes caused many to flee while a small number fought off the enemies. The members of this race are believed to be extinct, but they are just hidden. Leonine are easily mistaken for monsters in the eyes of Humanity. So they are ignored as such more often than not. Because of this, they are rarely seen or confronted, especially since few ever speak to Humans. Traits: Cat-Like Speed and Reflexes Description: Leonines are usually more nimble when on all fours than those around them. This hefty boost in quickness is mostly due to their body structure, which allows most Leonine to also get faster at a speedy rate. Requirements: Leonine Effect: Leonines have +20% boost to Speed and agility. (100-120, 10-12). This boost increases with the Leonine. This is only active when the Leonine is on all four legs. Cost: None Cat Claws and Fangs Description: Leonines have claws and teeth and if they manage to scratch or bite a foe, it works just as well or better than any weapon. Requirements: Leonine Effect: The strength of the claws/teeth is equal to the Leonine's (Spirit+Endurance)/2 and works as a Normal Weapon. Cost: None No-Thumbs-For-You Description: Lenonine, sadly, don't have thumbs. This means anything that requires them cannot be used by a Leonine. This includes Guns, Cars and most advanced machinery. Now, not all technology is ruled out for a Lenonine can most definitely get Robotic parts made just for them if they can get someone to custom make it. Requirements: Leonine Effect: Cannot use things that require thumbs Cost: None One With the World Description: Like the Cetra, Leonine can communicate with the planet. But their communication abilities are nowhere as great as the Cetra. They can just tell when bad things are happening to the planet where the Cetra are able to tell when a person they know dies. Lenonine just sort of have a sense of danger of great levels (Nothing that specifically targets them). Anytime something would cause terrain damage around them, they'll know it before anyone else. Requirements: Leonine Effect: Can sense when the Earth is being defaced around them. A simple shovel to the ground would inform them. Cost: None Natural Summoner Description: Leonine have natural links with Summons, they do not require the Summoner Ability to use Summon Materia where as other races do. Requirements: Leonine Effect: Do not require the Summoner's Ability to use Summon Materia. Cost: None Unique Abilities: Waking the Demon Description: Leonine have a special link with Summons. They are able to do something most cannot and that is draw them out an extra time. If the Summon has already been summoned once in a thread, a Lenonine with this ability can Summon them again (Even if they were the one who did the Summoning). Requirements: 50 Casting Effect: Can Summon a Summon a second time in a thread. If the Leonine with this ability is the one who did the Summoning, they cannot do it again for at least three posts. Cost: None Tail Grip Description: When a Leonine has certain skill, they can grab one item/weapon with their tails. Strength limits and speed reductions are still existent.
