Note: This topic will act as a step-by-step instruction manual on how to make a working machine, robot, or technology. It will also explain how to give your Machine stats, which is done by buying Machine Parts.

Machine Sheet

Note: When a working machine, robot, or technology that you created is made by combining Machine Parts, it will get it's own character sheet posted in your existing character's profile. It's sheet will look something like this:

Code:

[b]Name:[/b] (The proper title of the machine)
[b]Alias:[/b] (The machine's nickname)

[u][b]Base Stats[/b][/u]

[b]HP:[/b] X (Machine Stats - Agility)
[b]Fuel:[/b] (If it can hold 4 Gallons put 4/4)
[b]Engine Rank:[/b] (D, C, B, A, or S?)

[b]Weight Limit:[/b] (If the Base can support 20 Weight put X/20)

[u][b]Machine Material Information[/b][/u]

[b]Material:[/b] (What material is your machine?)
[b]Durability/Strength:[/b]
[b]Weight:[/b]
[b]Materia Slots:[/b]
[b]Cost:[/b]

[u][b]Machine Stats[/b][/u]

[b]Intelligence:[/b] 5
[b]Strength:[/b] 5
[b]Endurance:[/b] 5
[b]Magic:[/b] 5
[b]Speed:[/b] 5
[b]Agility:[/b] Y = (Machine Skill)

[b]Parts:[/b]

[u]Basic Parts[/u] - Base, Engine, and Fuel Tank. (Basic Parts are a must for the Machine to actually work.)
[u]Important Add Ons[/u] - Transport and Arms. (Add-Ons will allow your Machine to move and work with limbs)
[u]Extras[/u] - Plating, Chips, and Materia Fitter. (Extras let you boost stats and customise the Machine further)
[u]Boosters[/u] - Speed Booster, Strength Booster, Magic Booster, Endurance Booster. (Boosters let you temporarily increase stats at the cost of Fuel)

[b]Weaponry, Items and Armour:[/b]

N/A

Machine Parts Form

The following parts will use this form: Base, Plating, Engine, Transport, Arms, Boosters, Chips, and Materia Slots.

(Name Here)
Description:

The following parts will use this form: Weapons and Armour. These act like normal weapons, except they are used by the Robot and will not count towards the Weight Limit. They will instead reduce Speed like any other character, and the Robot will be required to have a Strength equal or above the weapon's and armour's weight also.

(Name Here) [X Weight]
Description:
Strength/Durability: (See Material Rule)
Materia Slots: (See Material Rule)

Base Stats

Health Points

A machine's health is equal to it's total stats, minus Agility.

HP = [All Stats - Agility] + [Base Bonus]

Fuel

A machine's maximum fuel is summed up through buying Fuel Tank(s).

You may refill the tank by buying fuel, but are not able to exceed the limit. Spares are allowed on hand if your character has the Strength, and possiby the machine, too, if it has the Strength.

Engine Rank

A machine's Engine Rank is summed up through buying Engines, and you must have a Fuel Tank if you have an Engine.

Depending on the Engine you buy, it will have a rank, which will dictate how much fuel is used per thread.
  • Rank D: Consumes 3 Gallons a thread
  • Rank C: Consumes 2 Gallon a thread
  • Rank B: Consumes 1 Gallons a thread
  • Rank A: Consumes 1/2 a Gallon a thread
  • Rank S: Consumes no Gasoline (100% Efficient. Not possible at the moment)

Weight Limit

A machine's Weight Limit is summed up through buying a Base.

Depending on the Base you buy, it will have a Weight Limit attached to it, which simply limits the amount of weight the machine can support. It will also have a HP Bonus attached, which you may ignore when calculating the Weight Limit.

You calculate how much your machine weighs by dividing it's HP by 10. So if the machine's weight exceeds the Weight Limit, the machine will break for the base wouldn't be able to handle it. Also, if the Machine's Strength cannot exceed the weight, then it will not be able to move and the machine wont go anywhere. Your character may carry the machine if they have the required strength and speed though.

HP / 10 = Machine's Weight

Machine Material Information

The Machine's Material is decided by you when making the machine, although some materials are better than others.

Depending on the Material you decide on, it will multiply the Machine's Stats without an alteration to the Machine's HP or Weight. The machine must have the strength to carry it's weight though. Check the Materials Link up the top for details.

Stat Boost = [Current Stat] * [(Material's Durability)/10]
Weight = Material Weight
Cost = Material Cost

Machine Stats

Intelligence

A machine's Intelligence is summed up through buying Chips.

Depending on the Chip(s) you buy, it will have a bonus attached to it stating how much Intelligence the machine has gained.

This Intelligence represents the skill a machine has, if able to use weaponry, fight, and other mundane things.

Weapon Skill = [Intelligence] + [Owner's Same Weapon Skill]
Hand-To-Hand = [Intelligence] + [Owner's Hand-To-Hand Skill]

Strength

A machine's Strength is summed up through buying Engines.

Depending on the Engine(s) you buy, it will have a bonus attached to it stating how much Strength the machine has gained.

If the machine's strength is lower than it's own weight, it cannot move itself.

This Strength represents the lifting, pushing, and carrying power of the machine. It also represents how much damage it can inflict with Strength like your own character.

Endurance

A machine's Endurance is summed up through buying Plating.

Depending on the Plating you buy, it will have a bonus attached to it stating how much Endurance the machine has gained.

This Endurance represents the defensive and grounding power of the machine. Instead of the normal 10% reduction in damage defended, a machine is more special and is able to reduce the damage by 30% of the Endurance stat.

Magic

A machine's Magic is summed up through buying a Materia Fitter.

Depending on the amount of Materia Slot(s) you buy, it will have a bonus attached to it stating how much Magic the machine has gained also.

This Magic represents the magical, mystical, and spiritual power of the machine. It also represents how much damage it can inflict with Magic like your own character.

Materia Slots depend on the Material of the Machine. Check the Material's Link up top for details on Materia Slots and Links for each Material.

Magic = [Materia Fitter Bonus] * Materia Slots

Speed

A machine's Speed is summed up through buying Transport(s).

Depending on the form of Transport you buy, it will have a bonus attached to it stating how much Speed the machine has gained.

This Speed represents exactly that, which is how fast the machine is able to move. It also represents how the machine actually moves - with wings, wheels, legs, propellers, etc.

Agility

A machine's Agility is summed up through your character's Machine Skill.

It works exactly the same as your own character's Agility, working in conjuction with the Speed stat as to how your machine will move.

Agility = [Machine Skill]

Materials of a Machine

Note: Designing a working machine, one will have to find certain parts around the world to make it, and that's where this guide will come in handy. This details the existing Machine Parts you might want to know in Children of Crisis, but if you want, you may create your own parts and request them (in the Requests forum), following the correct form found in The Mechanics of Machines.
