The first thing to register was the scent. A wretched scent, a fusion of vomit and urine mixed with an unnamable reek. Next was the thought welcome to the slums Angeles. She kept her eyes closed for a while longer. She was lying on an abandoned couch, brown in color of a rough but worn out material, dusty as well, that lay within a narrow alley lined by dark brick walls and carpeted with grey cement. As much of a home as any other. It was only temporary, until she could find a job or was forced out of the city. As she thought about this she groaned and shifted, causing her to accidently fall off of the couch. She grunted and pushed herself up to her feet, rubbed her eyes and turned to walk but stumbled slightly and ran into a wall. She was not a morning person. After the wall supported her as she waited for the world to stop spinning, she ran her tongue along her teeth to remove them of their nasty taste and stalked out of the alley. She yawned and her stomach growled. She could probably use some tea, but with none of the shops selling to her she couldn’t buy anything of substance. She was living off what she could steal, which, in the slums, was not very much. She bean backwards and cracked her back then sighed and slipped her hands into the pockets of her long coat and continued walking. Her boots made only a soft noise on the sidewalk as she walked, subtly looking around for something to eat. The ninjato on her back caused a few people to avoid her path, but it was her silver hair and green eyes that made people stare, and more often than not glare at her with utter hatred. She smirked and chuckled shaking her head as she knew the reason for their unprovoked loathing of her, and simply tuned out the whispering voice in her head telling her to look for Jenova and seek the Reunion, “yeah you can go fuck yourself….” |

‘Slum duty…’ The words from 3rd class SOLDIER Dagast simply snuck out of his mouth with disgust in a way that you could tell what he thought of it. It was the most boring and bothersome duty there was. Once a week. A SOLDIER had to partake in this. Everywhere else was fine but here. The stench, the economy, and just the outright look of the place gave him the creeps. It didn’t scare him as one would assume but disgusted him in a way that gave him chills every now and then, much like him seeing a burly women wear tights. Bah the Humanity. ‘Well. I might as well start the rounds.’ Dagast thought to himself as he leaned up off the wall. His blue outfit was known all through the lands as a mark of entrance into SOLDIER. It showed skill, just skill enough to brave through the rituals of SOLDIER and showed that you can make it through basic training. It didn’t strike fear in the hearts like the purple and the black outfits worn by legendary figures of the militia. Walking forward he saw a girl with light colored hair get off the ground. ‘Great…’ he thought to himself as the girl slammed into a wall and he sort of let a chuckle escape from his lips before holding his hands over them to hide the rest that were scuffled noises due to his hands. He thought this girl entertained him enough that he would follow her on his rounds. He noticed she had a sheathed blade on her back as he did. The color of her hair reminded him of something but as usual he couldn’t put 1 and 1 together if 1 represented a woman. He noticed how other people began to grow weary of the girl with the bladed weapon. They stepped back as she turned only to say some remark. He rose an eyebrow as he made contact with the girl. ‘What was that!?!’ he yelled loudly so that the girl heard him, hell dead people might have heard his loud ass. |

Angeles jerked slightly and turned to look at the Soldier and stopped walking completely. She made a quick rundown of his appearance, a simple up and down flick of her eyes, and a smirk fought its way across her lips. She doubted that he would really like to know what she had said, especially since repeating it directly would seem like the worst kind of insult. The reason she was smirking was because she was imagining his reaction if she indeed did repeat what she said. “I said ‘man I’m hungry,’” then looked around and added, “but then again so is everyone here so my pain isn’t so significant. Doing your rounds Soldier?” she scuffed the pavement with her boot and looked again. She crouched slightly like a cat on the prowl and carefully watched a suit bustle through the crowds with a half-eaten muffin in hand. Everyone was looking at him, not often did anyone of importance, or even someone wealthy enough to own a suit, venture around the slums. They were competition now. She could read the man’s body language well enough to know that he was finished with his muffin, she merely had to wait. Then sure enough the man tossed the muffin into a dirty garbage can and continued walking. Angeles bolted, weaving in and out of people and slid to a stop next to the garbage can, fishing the muffin out and leaned against the building behind her. A few other people slouched in defeat and kept walking to wherever they had been going as she carefully picked off hair and small bits of things from the muffin, like preening and apple, then took a bite out of it and chewed casually, slipping one hand into her coat. She looked over at the Soldier and shook the muffin slightly like a small prize and quoted something she often said as a Turk, “you have to do what you need to, to survive. Death is not an option.” |

‘Lady…’ The SOLDIER’ walked over to the girl. He stopped 3 feet next to her and slapped the muffin out of her hand. You shouldn’t be eating after him nor the trash. You know that’s not healthy for you don’t you?’ He said as he remembered her words. If your hungry you should do something about it. And your right it is survival of the fittest out here but who said you always had to be in these god-forsaken slums eh? You people here drown in your self-pity never trying to better yourselves always accepting it. You accept this situation as if there is nothing you could do. And don’t tell me there isn’t. The company I work for provides so many jobs that’s its hilariously random when a person asks for a job, because SHIN-RA… always hires.’ The SOLDIER spoke firmly at the girl. And If you need something to eat… I can help with that. He smirks and stands back reaching his hand out to the girl with a firm look on his face. ‘Come with me if you want to live…’ He pauses for a bit before laughing. ‘Just come with me and don’t worry about my last comment. I’ve always wanted to say that line from my favorite movie…’ and at that moment would ya believe it? Dagast forgot his favorite movie. |

Angeles looked down at the muffin and couldn’t help feel angry at the man. Her eyes were venomous as she looked back up at him, then forcing herself to remain calm, she bent down and grabbed the muffin, “not very informed, are you Soldier?” she said calmly, brushing the dirt off the muffin and picking a strand of hair away from it, “of all, I’m in the slums because there is no other way. I came from above the plate to here, so don’t tell me about advancement and getting out of this place. If I want to go back to where I came from I’ll walk. And If I could get food by normal means, I would have,” she pulled out one of the many gil she had from her pocket and held it up for him to see before putting it back in, “the problem is no one will sell me food, or anything for that matter,” she somewhat jokingly shielded the muffin from the Soldier as she continued eating it. “And another thing,” she said, “Shinra may always hire, but when they’ve fired you it’s kinda hard to go back no matter how badly you want to,” she took another bite and looked at his hand, “Terminator two,” she smirked and looked up at him, “are you the Terminater? That’s kind of the wrong shade of blue for that title I believe,” she kicked his boot lightly, “besides, I’m rather more of the reluctant type to dine with strangers, especially when said stranger could be doing it merely to gain something. In addition I don’t like being in debt with no job to pay someone back with,” she finished the muffin, “also, as I said before, any place you take me to won’t sell to me anyway. They would probably give you dirty looks for merely being in my presence,” she extended her arms at her side slightly in a gesture that indicated the world around them, “as you can see by the mere commoners around us.” What she said was true. The people surrounding were walking past them, looking at them as if they weren’t worth the very dirt on their thin-soled shoes. Angeles was looking straight into the Soldier’s eyes, smirking, but she could see them out her peripheral vision. She dropped her arms and held in a sigh, continuing to smirk, “you’re free to try. Never hurts to try, unless they try to shoot you of course,” she smirked deviously and turned on her heel and bean walking down the street again, parting the crown unintentionally and slipping her hands back into her pockets. |

‘Informed…’ Dagast spoke as he blinked and put his arm down. He watched as she picked up the muffin and continued to pick at it. She continued to speak as she said she was from the upper plate where the wealthy lived. She also flashed gil and turned down his offer all in one swift strike. She noted that she had the money but that no one would sell to her because of how she looked. She then stated she got fired from SHIN-RA so there was no way she could return to work for them even if she wanted to. His eyebrow flared at the people around as he was getting annoyed with the way she spoke and how she went about things. Her whole thought process was so full of doubt and self loathing. ‘First off, Terminator two was a great movie lady. Secondly, so what if you were in the above plates, so what if you did have a job. Yeah, you probably can’t get hired again but all your doing with your time is living with these mooks down here. Is that enough for you? Eating muffins after people who could have sickle cell disease? You talk like you’ve seen a lot of things and been through a lot. You haven’t been through nothing cause your nothing but a little girl still. And yet, when a kin d man offers to buy you something you turn it down and your hungry? I used to think I was stupid but girl your dense….’ Dagast reaches in his pocket and pulls out some hand cuffs. ‘You think this is bad. You have not been on lockdown where I can take you an dshow you who really have it bad. You should take your freedom and do with it what you can.. Stop being so god-damn EMO!!!! Now wait right here…’ The SOLDIER walks off to a stand and buys a ham and cheese hoagie sandwhich. He sits looks back to see the girl walking off. He yells at her to stop and she doesn’t as he throw the breaded sandwhich at the back of the silver-haired girl. |

Angeles whipped around and caught the sandwich looking at the man sternly, smiling venomously. She walked briskly back to him and grabbed his shirt and pulled him down so that their eyes were level, “learn, respect, Soldier,” she said, the tore a bite out of the sandwich releasing his shirt, “like I said I am here by choice. I don’t live here, I live in Kalm, I’m here looking for a job because nobody in Kalm will hire me, no one on the upper plate will hire me and guess what, the scum of the slums won’t even hire me.” She looked at him squarely, “I was a Turk before they let me go, so don’t you dare tell me that I don’t know the good and the bad of the world. I have no freedom because nobody here wants me to live. I’m stuck here between Midgar and Kalm because no one will lend me a chocobo, let me hitchhike, or let me buy any form of transportation for myself. In addition, having been a Turk, I know what the people in lock down are going through. I sometimes put them in there. You think the people in lock down have it bad? Wait till you find out what Hojo does to people.” Angeles looked at the sandwich and bit into it again, “also, I’m older than you. No where near the little girl you accuse me of being. Don’t quit your day job to become a lawyer, you won’t do very well in that profession,” she lifted the sandwich and pointed it at him, “and another thing, sickle cell is disease transmitted through genetics only. Look it up. Thanks for the sandwich,” she smiled, turned on her heel and walked away again. The Soldier was most likely going to follow, but it was no matter. He bought her food, he was at least entitled to follow her. As long as he didn’t try to throw something at her again. |

“Little heffer… wrinkling up my uniform. The nerve of these people. She says she’s from Kalm but she sure doesn’t act Calm…’ Ba-zing! Punchlines were never Dagast’s strong point or knowledge on stuff. One thing he did know was that there was more than meets the eye about this girl. She claims to have been a Turk and if that’sm the case it’s impossible. No Turk he knew would ever become poor and homeless or need another job. Turks made about 10 times what he made and then some. E didn’t believe she was in the Turks one bit but, her ability to turn and grab the sandwich before it hit her led him to believe she was something but, what exactly… that he didn’t know. And so the trials of a SOLDIER began. Watching her walk off he yelled at her. ‘SO THAT’S IT. A GUY BUYS A GAL A MEAL AND YOU JUST WALK OFF WITHOUT A THANK YOU? NOW I SEE WHY YOU’RE NOT A TURK ANYMORE. YOU’RE SO INCOMPETENT AND…’ Hopefully that would trigger something within the woman. He was ready though. If she rushed back to attack he watched closely to her body, well maybe a little bit too closely. ‘If she took a bath and wore a little tighter clothing then… I mean no… stop it Armand!’ Talking to himself silently he waited to see if the women would respond. If she was indeed a Turk, her honor was now challenged. |

Angeles stopped dead in her tracks but did not turn. She instead took a large bite out of the sandwich and chewed slowly, keeping herself calm. Then when she swallowed she turned and pointed at the Soldier with the hand holding the hoagie, “I did say thank you,” she clarified, “and I’ll say it again, but being in Soldier I highly doubt that you are deaf as you would not have made it past the conditioning.” She stayed where she was. If she got any closer, she would most likely try to kill him. Possibly succeed, but the death of a Soldier on her hands was the last thing she wanted at the moment, if at all in the future, “also, you might want to choose your words a little better, in order for them to be an appropriate insult. ‘Heifer’ doesn’t quite cut it when being applied to me, especially in my present foodless position,” she took another bite, now nearly completely done with the sandwich. “Now, if you’ll excuse me,” she said venomously stepping back, “I have the scum of the scum to appeal to,” she turned on her heel and began walking again. She was not about to go and prove how ‘competent’ she was, especially not on a third class Soldier. However she finished her sandwich and kept her hands free, her senses sharp and a cold, determined expression had darkened her brow. She was ready, in case the man was going to force her to prove it. |

Catching up to the light haired female. He noticed how savagely she was eating the sandwich He wondered just how long it was since she last had a meal. She said she was fired from the Turks which he didn’t believe but what if she was some sort of employee with SHIN-RA? Did they really screw her life up so much that it put her here in the slums? What could she have done or did she even do something wrong to get fired in the first place. A lot went through his head as he sighed loudly and rose both arms and folded them behind his head making a little resting spot for it as he looked up and then down at her. ‘Jesus you can’t take a joke can you? I was pulling your leg trying to get a rise out of you. You have some passion there… it’s just lost right now due to past things.’ Armand sighed as he looked around. They were nearing an open area where there were plenty of vendors around with a group of people crowding around in front of them. He looked on wondering what they where doing as he looked back over at the woman. He lowered his arms and jumped in front of her frantically. With an extension of his hand he properly introduced himself to the woman. ‘The name’s Armand… Armand Dagastonovich. The last name’s a bit long so most call me Dagast as a lot of people don’t really like my first name. It’s a pleasure to meet you…. Eh… what’s your name Ma’am?’ Dagast may have been an ass whole but he had his manners when he wanted to. She seemed like a nice lady, just down on her luck. As SOLDIER he felt obliged to raise that luck back up in anyway he could. |

Angeles tried to ignore the man as he rushed up to her side and began blabbering about ‘a joke’ and ‘passion,’ all pretty much nonsense and the fact that he admitted that he was trying to get her angry on purpose made her furious. However she remained calm on the exterior and looked ahead, pretending that he wasn’t there. However this soon ended as he jumped in front of her and blocked her path did she stop and look at him coldly. He extended his hand and introduced himself. She, however, was no longer in the mood to be friendly. She looked at his outstretched hand and then looked back up at Dagast, directly in his eyes. “Not very intelligent, are you Soldier?” she said venomously, “it’s against code to start a fight with a civilian without a just cause such as the civilian was hostile. What you did was disruption of the peace. What would your superior say to your words?” there wasn’t a way for her to actually get him into trouble, but if he continued to cockily parade around his inflated ego as a mere third class Soldier it was a guarantee that he would soon get a lesson in discipline. “And I’m not quite sure what you mean by my ‘lost passion.’ He who keeps a level head is more apt to victory than he who rushes in red faced and flailing his sword around. You can ask Reno about that one,” she gave him a last look then walked around him and looked around at where they were. She wondered who she should go to fist; the mob, the mercenaries, maybe Avalanche if she kept quiet about her past occupation as an employee of Shinra. |

The Soldier tilts his head to the side. ‘The Code…’ his lips murmur as he continues to walk behind her. ‘Do you know what you sound like HONESTLY? I mean what’s the Idea of the code? You know in today’s day and age that ‘code’ is thrown out the window. It’s there for when things are ordinary and with recent happenings, things have been way out of the ordinary. People are starting to do want they want more and more. You should know that by now so calling me to some higher form of justice is absurd. I’m not above or the law itself, I am just a follower who does what I think is right.’ He walks a little bit thinking to himself before he continues. ‘It would suffice to say that in this life Humans are neither good nor bad. We are in that fine section that separates us but your actions and characteristics are what sway you to either side. I’ve done many wrong in my life but I try my hardest to land heavily on the good side. I kill, I destroy lives, families and among other things. So when you speak of this code you speak of nothing but a fabricated lie that most abide by and you’re looking at someone now who does not. Plus… your so negative towards me it’s daunting.’ Dagast walks on a bit thinking to himself. Was there nothing he could really do to befriend this lady? He tried to light a fire under here and it didn’t ignite, he tried being the friend and yet nothing still… |

"If you break the most basic code, you get canned. Who is your superior? Perhaps Veld should have a word with him on leadership and tutoring of his underlings.” Angeles shook her head and turned, walking to her left ad the Soldier continued forward, lost in thought apparently. She looked around at the wandering peoples seeing if she could spot any delegates of the mob. She also took an interest into what some of the vendors were selling and a her venomous smile began fading into a more sincere grin as she looked at the random but colorful cloths and foods being sold. She stopped at a vendor with some spices and closed her eyes and inhaled lightly, relishing in the scents. She opened her eyes and they sparkled with a sort of joy of existence and walked over to the next vendor full of herbal tea mixes and she smiled a little more she inspected some of the bags putting them down. The vendor kept a wary eye on her as she did so, until a sort of skirmish happened behind her and one guy pushed another into her back crashing her into the vendor which she helped keep steady then bent and picked up the bags that had fallen off. She smiled at the vendor waved goodbye and began walking around the vendors. Eventually she abandoned the trading square and walked down the street. She had somewhat forgotten about the Soldier but decided not to entirely worry about it and slipped her hands into her pockets, slipping one of the bags of tea that had fallen from the ground from her sleeve into her pocket. She was going to need the relaxing properties to face the mob later on, or to continue a conversation with Dagast. Edited by Angeles, Feb 6 2009, 12:14 AM.

He decided to leave her alone but then she’d done something he could not overlook. Although he thought of her as deprived and down on her luck; Dagast could not overlook what she had done. He noticed the commotion by the Vendors and decided to investigate a bit. After finding out that the commotion was caused by one man tripping into a female, he noticed that the female was none other than the one he was talking to. He came towards the end only to find that she slipped something in her clothes with a price on it. She said she had no money… she had no way of getting what she wanted and had to do things the only way she knew how to do them. Steal… It was the impulse that man y feel when they are tempted by greed and desire. It’s an act that compromises yourself to be put in the line of danger and now Dagast had to act. If this was reported while he was on duty in the place then he would surely hear this from his superiors sometime down the line. He snarled in the thought and shook his head as he followed the women, He noticed she pulled it out and as she did he would step forward. ‘Don’t tell me you actually did it? I was hoping not to have to take anyone in. You say you were an ex Turk? You sure as hell don’t act like it… Return the tea or consider yourself under arrest…’ |

Angeles stopped and looked at the Soldier who immediately brought down her mood back to where it had been. She listened to his accusations with half open eyes, now thoroughly bored with the mans antics. She pulled the tea out of her pocket where they could both see it though her eyes never left his. “Now all of a sudden you want to follow the code?” in response to her own question she dropped the tea to the ground, letting the fine grains and herbs cascade across the ground, “how do you know what Turks act like?” she said beginning to slowly circle him, “we work behind the scenes within the shadows doing the dirty work from kidnapping to assassinations whereas the Soldiers work within the sunlight and get the fame and glory. All of your accusations have led me to believe that you have never actually met a Turk until now. You know nothing it seems,” she stopped her volturesque behavior to glare at Dagast, “third class Soldier Armand, may the gods bestow upon you the knowledge of suffering, so that you may understand those around you better than what you claim to know right now.” With that Angeles turned, reluctantly leaving the tea to go to waste, but she couldn’t run the risk of being brought to Shinra. She would do anything she needed to avoid Hojo’s clutches. And there was no way a third class Soldier was going to be the one to strip her of her present state of living. |

‘Now I want to follow the code?’ Dagast tilted his head in confusion from the females voice. Of course he said that something’s didn’t need to be done because before the code he was nothing but a mere man. A man with emotions… a man with feelings… a man with quirks that would always do right and wrong; be the lesser evil and the greater good at all the same time. He took a swallow of spit and bit down on his tongue from speaking at this moment. She judged him as If he was suppose to be god. Does she even realize how difficult his job is? Of course he is getting paid for it but not that much… As he was about to calm down she spoke once more. ‘we work behind the scenes within the shadows doing the dirty work from kidnapping to assassinations whereas the Soldiers work within the sunlight and get the fame and glory. All of your accusations have led me to believe that you have never actually met a Turk until now. You know nothing it seems’ It was alright. Armand could deal with her saying he never met a Turk before cause it was true. He was never made to meet one for he was a new recruit in SOLDIER and by his standards he hasn’t even gone far. He’s done a few missions but that was it. ‘Third class Soldier Armand, may the gods bestow upon you the knowledge of suffering, so that you may understand those around you better than what you claim to know right now.’ That was it. This rude bitch needed to be taught a lesson and she needed to be taught well and Armand was going to teach it to her. ‘Look lady… you speak as if you know how it is to be a SOLDIER. You say being a Turk is hard and you work behind the shadows while SOLDIERS get the glory. Let’s break down that statement shall we; piece by piece if you will. You work behind the shadows… because you CHOOSE to. YOUR’RE trained to do that. You take it as if it’s some curse bestowed upon you before you opted to join them. I’m sure they let you know some code to follow or rubric of how things would go, everything like that does. And where the fuck do you get off accusing me, as you said it, a 3rd Class SOLDIER of getting fame. As you know all of my work I never receive praise. I receive basic pay much lower than a Turk and ya know who the praise goes to, of course you do ex-TURK. It goes to the Director and the First Class SOLDIERS above my head. Now you talk as If I know nothing about the TURKS, which I don’t but don’t sit there on your high throne of nothing and talk down to me as If I have the easiest life. I don’t win electoral votes here. I do the best by any means necessary. If I dub something to be wrong, If I dub something to be right… it’s right by me. They leave things like stealing tea up to my personal judgment and right now you are in the wrong. Since you very well know the difference of right and wrong lady… or should I say the appropriate word; bitch! You knew it was wrong to steal being an ex employee of SHIN-RA and yet you do it anyway?! THE HELL LADY! NOW I’M ONLY GONNA SAY THIS ONCE…. At that moment; Dagast forgot his train of thought as he placed his thumb on his finger. He forgot what he was talking about in a 3 second pause and he was done it seemed. He looked confused for a few minutes as he scratched his head and chuckled. |

Angeles stopped and looked at him. She blinked a couple times and tried to think of something completely different in order to keep her temper. However when he suddenly yelled then cut short and stopped completely she couldn't help but smirk. Her thoughts to the situation, however, Dagast would not find humorous in the slightest as a string of insults whirled through her mind. She turned her back to him and continued walking. However halfway through the the square she drew her ninjato, causing several people to scatter in surprise and fear, and she turned around, getting in a stance with her feet spread and anchored, her sword held in both hands at shoulder height pointed at Dagast. Her smile was venomous and her eyes were deadly, and her words were sickeningly sweet but with a sharp edge to them, almost like a smooth blade against his neck, "you want to continue to insult me?" she said, lifting the blade so that it was about pressing against her cheek, "then do it with that sword of yours, third class Soldier Armand." Hearing the challenge she made caused the people around her to flee even farther away, but maintain a large circle around the designated fighting area, "I win, I get the tea. How's that sound?" "You want to continue to insult me?” The women drew a sword of hers and lifted it towards her cheek as she got into a battle stance. Her poise was straight as was the present smirk on her face that burned Dagast’s eyelids away. "Then do it with that sword of yours, third class Soldier Armand." Dagast tilted his head to the side in confusion. Was it worth this? Was it Really worth this?!? It was a teabag for christ’s sake. Was she drawing her blade on an operative of the Law? SHIN-RA was the force behind protection in the eyes of Dagast. They were the suppliers that gave the world SOLDIERs of great importance. The likes of Angeal, Sephiroth and Genesis were household names when heroes were spoken of. SOLDIER was a symbol that meant much more than strength; it was a sigil of a commitment Dagast made to his values and to his very soul. So when this girl challenged him, she took a stab at his very soul. This made the SOLDIER chuckle a bit at the hilarity of the situation. "I win, I get the tea. How's that sound?" the girl made as Dagast started. “I’m not gonna raise arms against a Civilian. That’s not protecting you from anything. It’s bringing harm to you. Now let me get this straight. You want me to stop insulting you yet you insult me and you want to fight me for a teabag… that’s your big resolution to your poverty? Getting beaten by a SOLDIER and taken to jail on the account of theft, threats on an official and unexcused violence is what your going to be thrown in for. I only ask that you return the bag of tea and apologize. Your willing to throw that all away?’ |

Angeles continued to smirk and tilted her head downwards, looking at Dagast out the top of her eyes. She chuckled deep in her throat, easing only slightly from her stance, “it isn’t as simple as simply returning the tea and apologizing. With how things are now I will most likely get shot,” she looked down at the tea on the ground then back up at him, “like I said,” she stood from her stance and sheathed her ninjato, “you go return it, apologize for me why don’t you hm?” she then turned and gave a backwards wave as she made her way out of the square, the people swiftly parting for her to let her though. “And I can insult you, because you insulted me first,” a rather childish thing to say, something Reno probably would say in the situation, and the thought of the redheaded Turk in the present situation made her smile fondly. He probably would have already lost his cool by then, however, and gotten into a fight with the guy, but right afterwards probably would have considered Dagast to be a good friend. Their personalities were very similar, which usually made for good friends or good enemies at the least. Ah she missed Reno. However, just as she was coming out of reminiscing she was hit by a migraine and a flood of commands entered her mind. Jenova, Mother, Reunion, Sephiroth. Angeles held her ears as if the voice was coming from outside, and could be silenced with such a motion. This time was worse than she had ever had before, the voice being loud and clear, it was taking all she had to remain standing. |

“It isn’t as simple as simply returning the tea and apologizing. With how things are now I will most likely get shot”. Dagast raised an eyebrow and let her continue as the mood started to get weird. “You go return it, apologize for me why don’t you hm?”. “And I can insult you, because you insulted me first.” Dagast had a dilemma on his hands. A female he met was a glorified thief. She found some self-righteous reasoning in order to get what she wanted. She blamed SHIN-RA, TURKS and everyone else for her misfortunes. Dagast deducted that she never took the time to evaluate the situation. It could have been her fault, It could have been something she done but she always blamed another for her short-comings. And now this same lady is asking Dagast to do the unthinkable. Her question asked him to let her go and actually retrieve what she stolen and take it back. He instantly thought it off as she was a thief and needed to pay but something struck him about the women. He couldn’t place his finger on it but that’s what really made him pick on her the entirety of the day they were on. Secondly, he thought of the idea of doing it and letting her go free. She needed one type of punishment and Dagast shook his head after folding his arms. ‘I’ll take the teabag back for you on one condition and one condition chosen by me. You game?” |

Angeles continued to hold her head as the voice scraped against her consciousness to the point were she was barely able to discern her surroundings from the voice’s commands. However, another voice, one more annoying, pierced through and actually brought her attention to what was going on, “condition…?” she growled, holding her forehead in her hand, “I’m not game until I know what the condition is,” she leaned her shoulder up against a wall as her pupils dilated and contracted, bringing everything in and out of focus. “Shut up,” she growled to the voice in her head, “shut up shut up shut up shut the fuck up,” she closed her eyes and gnashed her teeth, forcing herself to get a migraine to try and drown the voice out with the pain. She opened them again and tried to bring Dagast into focus before leaning away from the building and removing her hand from her head, “what is your condition?” she said, taking a step forward but staggering slightly as everything going in and out of focus was making her dizzy. Se caught herself and became acutely aware of the ninjato on her back and the Soldier in front of her, as if those two things were the only thing that existed at the moment. “Name it quickly,” Angeles growled urgently, her brow furrowing darkly, “quickly!” |

Dagast mouth hanged open as his arms hang in a shocking manner by what happened. It looked like the female who claimed to be am EX-TURK, was also a complete nut job. She started leaning against the wall and holding her head and talking to herself. Dagast couldn’t make out any of the words cause he was trying to figure out what was wrong with her. A couple of seconds pass and she talks about his ‘condition’ he gave her. She wanted to know what it was but he was shocked over her sudden actions. He looked around while people stared. He turned around and yelled at them. “This isn’t a fricken show people. MOVE IT ALONG!” The people walked away but from greater distances looked on. She continued to speak to herself and seem to be in pain as she yelled shut up to some unknown person multiple times before asking him again and to name it very quickly. “Well… the condition would be if you told me your name and agreed to let me take you out sometime… then I would take the tea-bag back for you. I would let you go since you aren’t in position of the stolen product. I want to feed and take care of you…. Lady… and are you ok?” Dagast made his circumstance but would she hear it. With the way she acted, he may have needed to sub-due her in order to calm the commotion in the area. It wasn’t safe for the women to stay there. Dagast hands were ready to grab onto the links he placed In his pocket to restrict people while escorting them. He wouldn’t take her in… just somewhere away from eye’s. |

Angeles looked at him, not caring or noticing the people dissipating around her. “name… Angeles Clementine,” she winced, it was if the voice was screaming at her, “and… what…?” she tried taking another step forward but faltered and about fell to the side but suddenly drew her ninjato and stabbed it into the ground and leaned on it like it was a cane. She felt very dizzy. Every time she tried to focus the world decided to shift to a new position. Find Mother. Reunion. Find her. Free her. Jenova. “shut up about Jenova!” she screamed, “it’s a lie, it’s a lie, it’s a lie,” she muttered over and over, sinking slowly to the ground. Her head nearly touched the hilt of her ninjato when suddenly she yelled, “it’s a lie!” drew her sword out of the ground and turned slashing a wall, at an invisible object as if attacking the voice itself. She staggered but caught herself and ran away from the Soldier. She had to get away from the people before she hurt them. However running while the world was violently spinning was not going as well as she had hoped. She continued to run into objects that seemed to jump right in her way; vendors, carts, dogs, walls, the ground. She once ran into a door that opened suddenly and in her surprise cut it down. The man behind was frightened, but thankfully not injured. She spun around, looking around for the path to follow, but the world would not stop spinning long enough for her to discern the path. She stumbled out into the middle of the street and fell to the ground. What was she running from? She either had completely forgotten or never knew. She tried to stand but being on the ground at least she was stable, and the world wasn’t spinning as much. So she laid there as the voice continued to rave within her head. She gritted her teeth, biting back against the voice as well as a near overwhelming wave of despair that came over her, “shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up. Get out of my head. I don’t want to listen to you anymore. Shut up Sephiroth!” |

‘Angeles Clementine’ Dagast said to himself a she watched her stumble around. Her antics right now were so outlandish that Dagast automatically ruled the fact out that she was causing a scene. Earlier she stole a bag of tea and thought this was another ploy to get what she wanted and that was an escape. But upon further observation and time; Dagast realized that something was seriously wrong with Angeles. After hearing her name it sort of made him picture an angel as the root word from her first name. He could see why she was given that name. Looking at her yell the name Sephiroth out and roll around while he admired her fair skin and beautiful snowy hair. He then shook his head as others started to crowd in past him as he placed his hand on his hilt and started to pull out which caused a slight screeching as he twisted his hilt as other started to back away. He looked them al over as h extended his hand and yelled for them to bag back. He walked up to the female who continued t mutter as Dagast sheathed Vanishing Star and bent down to pick her up. If she didn’t resist he would carry her in his arms until he got out of the area. His shift was over and he needed and wanted to help Angeles out. Something spoke to him though. |

Angeles closed her eyes tightly. She was lost, conflicted with the need to move, to go somewhere, she didn’t know where, and the forceful need to remain still and do nothing. She didn’t know which thoughts were hers and which were Sephiroth’s. However she did know that voice as it began yelling out orders. What was Dagast doing here? She wasn’t quite sure but she was now pretty sure that the thought to move was hers and she lifted her arms to push herself up. However, she was suddenly lifted from the ground, a bad idea while she still had her ninjato in hand and she held herself back as well as she could from stabbing the person touching her, “what are you doing?” she growled slightly, sounding more like a hoarse whisper than anything, “not a good idea,” she opened her eyes and looked at Dagast and sighed slightly, “take my sword before I stab you,” she said and simply let her head fall back. This was okay, as long as she didn’t think too deeply into it and concentrated on separating her thoughts from Sephiroth’s and blocking him out again. She closed her eyes again and concentrated on her task at hand, and began humming a tune that her father used to hum while he was concentrating. Oddly enough, it helped. |
