Seal Evil

The Next day… The people around Dagast were quite savage. They all bore beastly features and what’s even more daunting is the fact that the female who saved Dagast; seemed to look A LOT better than the rest of the women. In a way she was a definition of their beauty. A cheap chill went down his spine as he shook his head and looked around. He noticed a sound he knew too familiar from his current home, Midgar. As he noticed the sound, he then noticed the smell of smoke exhaust in the air. He looked around as he saw a little bit of steam float in the air from behind a tent. He rose an eyebrow as he walked over towards it. In the process he didn’t realize it but he was much taller than everyone else as he walked through the crowds and got looke dup to by almost everybody. Walking around the tent he had to rethink his last statement as this man stood a good five feet taller than he did. The men turned to look at the SOLDIER. He opened his mouth and spit to the side, it was tobacco no doubt. Dagast was a bit tooken back by the look on the man as they met eyes. The man turned around back to what he was doing as he spoke English loudly. Dagast thought these people couldn’t speak as normal people but yet again he was wrong. The SOLDIER had much to learn about people of the world. ‘If your interested in what this smoke is being caused by city-slicker, I suggest you make your leave. Your kind always bring dangers to us.’ The grimacing gnarl on the man’s face was quite fierce. He spoke and labeled Dagast as if he had met others who did them wrong. Upon thinking this over he thought it would be best to not anger anyone during his stay. As he turned the man watched him as his eyes bulged and damn near shot at Dagast’s backside. No he wasn’t checking out the SOLDIER, he was astonished because he never saw the equipment attached to his backside. ‘Wait… city-slicker. Is that a revolver attached to you?’ Stopping Dagast turned and grabbed the grip and turned around nodding. ‘This interests you? Villager?’ ‘The name’s Garlok boy.’ ‘This boy’s name is Dagast and it seems you all do speak when you choose to.’ ‘Naturally, we don’t deal with your people too much so we limit ourselves when around. Freida is a different view among us about everyone. You were fortunate that she came upon you but… back to that device. Can I see it?’ Dagast walks back and grabs the grip further making sure not to pull the trigger. He unsheathes his Revolver as he takes out the full blade and rests it in front of his chest cupped by both hands. ‘You obviously know your stuff. This weapon is a--’ ‘I know what it is Dagast. It’s a gun and sword combination weapon often called a Gun-blade. It’s design allows you to modify sword strikes by the trigger. Each model comes with variations on it. I only have seen a magazine with this in it. I never thought someone like you would have one.’ Garlok walks off and waves his hand. Dagast follows with his Revolver out. As they walk he see’s different types of guns and swords. The guy must be a hardcore fan of weaponry or quite possibly ballistics. ‘I got something you’ll be interested in.’ Bulging his eyes and sort of releasing the blade from his full grip, he eyed the piece of equipment sitting on the hilt below them. What he saw surprised him. The equipment or weapon Dagast saw was similar to his though he never heard of it in ANY catalog. ‘This is what I like to call the Invisible. You look surprised though. It’s not from any catalog of Reaver. It’s completely created and manufactured by me. Others have called it ‘Vanishing Star’ the Black Gun-Blade. ‘How’d-how’d you make this?’ ‘This is a blacksmith shop. Garlok’s weapons the biz.’ Garlok boasted but to no avail as Dagast eyes was on what was before him. ‘I take it you use only Gun-blades and that you’re a new user to it. You probably have yet to see the future issue’s of Reaper. I’ll give you a demonstration of this series of Gun-blades dubbed “Dual-triggered”. Garlok picks up the blade. It’s black and sleek design covered the entire device even the blade. It was completely jetted all over and what picked his interest was the exhaust coming from the blade. He pointed as Garlok began. ‘Unlike the Revolver, this gun has a built in engine that runs off of your own energy, along side Materia of course. The more energy you input through the materia slot shown here, you can add a special function in the sword being able to fire magical bullets, yet this requires special skills. Next I’ll explain the triggers. The Alpha trigger is the regular trigger most guns have. Itr springs forth bullets at an accelerated rate, much faster than the revolver. It has a replaced function that removed the revolving process and got installed with a ‘pump-action’ spring allowing for powerful shots from the chamber still remaining it’s six shot quantity.’ As the man continued Dagast sat down his Gun-blade as Garlok looked on. He looked at his creation and the Revolver as he thought for a bit before continuing. ‘You want this Blade don’t you boy?’ ‘You would sell it to me?’ ‘For a price and a deal.’ ‘What’s the deal?’ ‘2000 gil and the Revolver of course. And If it breaks come back to me to fix it.’ ‘How would I know how to find you?’ ‘Cell of course…’ The two exchange numbers and weapons. Grabbing the dark grip of the gun blade, Dagast accidentally held the lower trigger as buckshot’s started to be heard from the blade. Garlok grabbed it from him and let go of the trigger and looked at Dagast. ‘Remember you can’t wield this the same way you do the Revolver. This is advanced technology and if it was loaded, someone could have been injured seriously boy!’ Dagast holds out his hand and takes the weapon from Garlok. He nods as he loosens the grip where his fingers coil around the trigger as it gently rests not forcing the button in. Moving the weapon around he inspects it. He releases the chamber by the locking mechanism and checks each duct as they all are empty. He swings it around with one hand a few times and thought to himself. His swings were faster. The blade was lighter than the revolver yet it was more complex… he didn’t know how that could be. ‘Your shocked it’s lighter with the engine system it has?’ Garlok walked next to him and smirk. I take it your used to using the two-handed Revolver.’ Grabbing and scratching his face Garlok ponders as the sun starts to set. ‘I got something else for you Dagast.’ Garlok turns around and ushers Dagast to follow him. Garlok has the Revolver while Dagast has the Vanishing Star in his hand. As the two stand in the back of Garlok’s tent, Garlok switches the revolver from two hands to one hand as he notions to Dagast to come at him with the Vanishing Star. ‘I can’t attack you, your wielding a two handed weapon with one hand. That’s not right…’ ‘Are all the city-slickers pansies like you?’ Dagast grabs his blade and takes a swing at Garlok who holds his own against the slash. ‘It’s simple Dagast. It’s all about discipline but, your still right. It’s a two handed weapon. I’ll switch to two-hands to show you the difference in strength. It doesn’t matter what the weapon is… it’s the skill of the user behind it.’ Garlok does as he says and Dagast slashes again but is knocked off. It felt as if he hit a wall. Was this the difference in skill? ‘That’s the difference in skill. Not between us but in the discipline of the ancient art of Bushido. Seeing how you are a SOLDIER, you should know about this ancient form. It’s studied by the inhabitants of Wutai. The legend has it that several BUSHIDO’s carried to blades, each the length of spears and wield them in one hand each. This is of course stretching from truth but you get the concept. You just need to grip the blade with both hands closely and concentrate. You can tell the difference. Try it..’ The rest of the night Dagast practiced with Garlok and learned the following, Busidho (|) Precision Stance ability.
