Apocalypse (Lv4)
|
Dark lines began to etch down the arms of a pale man who stood at the foot of the village, staring at the night sky alone. He was smiling, not the happy kind of smile. This was far from it, no. He was smiling because he knew he was about to obtain something he had been wanting for so long. He was about to take his first step towards what he wanted. It was something he had been longing for, for a very... long time now. All it took was for him to take the next step, just one foot in front of the other. You can do it Angel, you have the power to do anything... just use it! "The day of rue... is mine," Angel said as he stepped into the village, not being here for countless days. Many thoughts ran across his mind. Would they recognize me? Would my own mother know who I am? I think it would be better for her to not know who I am. Yes, it would be best that way to not know her son killed her... Angel thought to himself. Angel's smile faded away as he stood in the center of the village. He had to do this quickly, he didn't want to cause a ruckus. But, how would he do this? He couldn't just barge into his mother's room and kill her. It would cause too much of a commotion, he didn't need to massacre the entire village... just his mother. "Angel...?" A voice asked from behind, it was a man's voice slightly familiar to Angel. Damn!! Angel thought to himself as he turned to see a man named Mark. He was a friend of his mothers. Angel quickly turned to the man in order to keep suspicion at a low. "No, sorry. I'm just a traveler passing through," Angel said, lying to the man. "Oh, you just looked like a friend of mine's son. She misses him dearly," the man said to Angel. "She's climbed out of the Village, standing at the base everyday at noon since he left home," the man said to Angel. "Sorry to bother you," he finished before leaving. "Noon, huh?" Angel smirked to himself as he began to walk off towards the Inn. "I think I have found my next destination," Angel said as he entered the Inn. He knew he had to put this off until he was ready anyways. He hadn't built up the mental preparation to go through with this yet. This was his mother after all, he was raised by her and loved her. But it was because of this that he had to do it. If he didn't kill her, then Shin-Ra would do far worse to her. Shin-Ra would find her and cause pain not only to her, but Angel himself. At least, that was what Angel believed. It wasn't just Shin-Ra he had to worry about, his mother had connections to AVALANCHE. If she said something to them about him, they might try to blackmail Angel into siding with them. Angel cared less for AVALANCHE than he did for Shin-Ra as a whole... he was in this for his own wants and needs. He needed no one else. At least, he told himself that. Bzzz... Bzzz... Bzzz... The sound of Angel's phone echoed in his pocket as it vibrated alongside his leg. What on Earth is that? Angel thought to himself, pulling out his phone only to see the words "1 New Message." Angel couldn't help but cock his head to the right as he sat down on his bed in the Inn, flipping open the phone. Angel nearly dropped the phone when he realized who it was from. ‘Yo. :3 Good to see you’re alright. And you’re pretty far away already. Good-luck with your objective, whatever it might be. I’m sure you’ll do the right thing. And me? I’m good. Heading to Junon for a mission right now, and I’ve met that guy you told me about, Aleczander Rockport. Were partners for this mission. You should have warned me he was boring. <_< Dull as a rock. But I’ll tell ya all about his abilities once I’ve seen him in action. He looks pretty capable. But ya never know. By the way, we need to meet up again once you’re done. Maybe I’ll come visit ya if I can get a day off work. Anyway, gotta go. Zander probably thinks I’m slacking off my mission babbling to a boyfriend or something. XD Talk to ya later, -Alecto <3’ "Boy...friend?" Angel said, blushing to himself. He was supposed to be mentally preparing himself to kill his mother, now he is having boyish thoughts. What... should I say back? Angel thought, completely discarding the fact that she was sitting next to his brother while she sent that message. The word "Boyfriend" completely caught him off guard. He was shocked and was curious if she thought that. No, she couldn't they don't know each other that well yet. But, she wants to see him again, doesn't she? Right? At least, that was the feelings running through Angel's body right now. "No, I wont respond... not yet. I will in a few hours when I do the deed. I can't have any interruptions," Angel said to himself as he looked at his phone which read eleven-thirty P.M. "I should go now..." Angel said as he got up from his bed, walking out the door and down the stairs. This is it, I cannot make any mistakes! Angel thought to himself as he darted down out the Inn as fast as his body would carry him. Him creating a second dimension to store his objects within him made life much easier for him. He didn't have to carry things with him anymore. It was convenient when it came to events like this. Without much warning though, Angel began to feel lighter and lighter as he progressed to the entrance of the village which he had come to earlier in the day. "What's this?" Angel thought as the black lines etched down his arms again. Angel was... floating to his destination, roughly a foot off of the ground. It was unexpected, but welcomed. For it did not hinder him in his mission. He had began to expect things like this from now on, all these powers kept falling in his lap. He didn't ask for them, they just came to him as if it were natural. It was as if the planet wanted to use him for something. He didn't know what it was that was doing this to him, but he would go through his mission without thinking about it. His mother, would die by his hand. I’m sure you’ll do the right thing. Angel began to descend slightly as those words popped into his mind. NO! I will do this! Angel thought to himself as he picked up speed slightly, his eyes turning black from hatred. There she was, walking down the path to the mountain base as the man said. There she is, it is now or never! Angel shouted in his mind as he was within six meters of his mother, pulling his staff out from his storage dimension. It appeared in his right hand as he began to glow a bright red, ready to fire a flaming energy blast at the woman he called mother. Goddess of hatred, empower me with the strength-- ...a boyfriend or something... No... Angel thought as the flame began to fade in his hand. His body began to descend from the air to the ground slowly, each black line fading back to his chest. I’m sure you’ll do the right thing. Angel... I'm sure you'll do the right thing... we need to meet up again once you’re done. Maybe I’ll come visit ya if I can get a day off work. Each line kept repeating in his head, as if it were acting as a moral conscious. Was his sub-conscious using this as a weapon against him? Telling him not to do it? Or... were Alecto's words that influential on Angel? It was impossible to tell. All that was known was... Angel couldn't do it. He couldn't bring himself to kill his mother. "Hello?" his mother said, turning around slowly. Fuck! Angel thought as he made himself float off of the cliff side that was to his right before she could turn around. "Is... someone there?" his mother asked, walking up the hill where Angel was standing a moment. "Angel? Angel was that you!?" his mother began to call frantically, falling to her knees crying. "Come home Angel... when will you come home?" his mother called, feeling something burn on the back of her neck. She quickly snatched at it only to find a small lock of black hair with charred ends where it was cut. "Angel...?" she asked herself as a smile grew on her face. "So... you're alive... I can live with that. I know you're alive son. Just... come home soon," she said, standing up from the ground. She began to wipe the tears on her face away before she walked up the hill. "I can wait an eternity Angel!" she said before being too far for Angel too see any longer. Angel on the other hand had began to move away from Cosmo Canyon. It was a mistake to come here... but... she is safe. I hope leaving her that wasn't a mistake as well... Angel thought to himself as he began to float away from Cosmo Canyon. Without thinking much, Angel pulled out his phone and began to send Alecto a message once again. 'I did the right thing, Alecto. I did it... Thanks. I would like to see you soon if possible. I guess... I miss you. Take care of yourself until then, okay? -A' Edited by Cloud, Feb 20 2009, 07:46 PM.
