You can't kill the Metal
|
Josh was finding himself walking through the streets of Midgar, in what section or floor he didn't particularly know. It was just that Josh was too carefree to care about those kinds of things, he was here today to explore a bit so he made sure he got lost doing so, to make sure that he would keep on finding things before he found his way back to where he was staying. Though since he was a cyborg he had been keeping a pretty low profile, since Josh didn't know when there might be some idiot who decided to attack him on this peaceful day. Josh thought the odds of that were low, but to be safe he had his trusty side arm on him as well, as well as his leather jacket to be that much more safe. Not to mention that his arm could also change into a trusty sword, just in case of emergencies. Looking around himself as he was traveling through the city, Josh couldn't help but be awe struck as he examined what he saw. Josh couldn't believe that someone had come up with this massive city, it was mind boggling how the city was set up. Not to mention the fact that there were the Mako generators here as well the substance that ran this city. These sights were the second reason that Josh was wandering around the city, to rekindle his interest in how machines worked and what they could do. Being that he was a cyborg it wasn't that hard to believe that he had an interest in how his arm and leg worked, and if there was anything he could do to improve said parts. So it was logical if one could understand how the world around you worked then you could understand how you yourself would work, or that is what Josh was believing at this point in time. "Oh... my... god," Josh said to himself as he saw a sort of building that had some wires and giant tubes or something going into it. It was the sort of thing that would attract Josh to it, to see if he could discern what it was by just looking at it. It was a sort of game that allowed Josh to figure things out more quickly by just looking at it, if it had anything to do with machines anyway. Since he had discovered this building he had moved closer to it, trying to see if there was anything on it's surface that would give it's purpose away. Though Josh wasn't going to read any signs if there were any, just look at the building. Hopefully this wasn't going to be too easy, or nothing else distracted him from this challenge. |

Rush Assualt

There was a click as the clutch of a motorcycle released, and a sound of an engine starting which lead to a satisfying roar. “So what exactly are you going to do Ryuu?” spoke Zan, as a dark dressed youth slid a black helmet over his head. He then flipped the visor up and turned his head to look at his new mentor. “Well I have some things I want to do before we head out,” Ryuu said, as he revved the engine on the bike Zan had lent him. It was an awesome motorcycle, though none like Ryuu had ever driven. In the past, he and his father used to work on a bike his father used to commute to work where he would disappear for weeks at a time. However, he could feel it; this machine was capable of much more power than that flimsy two-piston child's toy. Ryuu was going to take this chance to check out the upper plate, and taking the bike made it much sweeter. "Your not just taking that bike for a joy ride are you?" Zan asked, but the revs from the bike drowned out his voice. "What? S..Sorry I can't hear you. Anyway I will be back later," Ryuu said, as he pulled back on the throttle again, and he then released the clutch and sent the bike's back tire into a burnout. He then released the front handbrake and he found himself flying down the road. A couple minutes later, he found himself on a straight away, and he took that chance to open the engine up. To see what the bike was really made of, and without hesitation, he pulled back on the throttle. Seconds later, he felt the adrenaline rush as he zipped down the strip of road. (Damn, it has been to long since I have driven one of these,) Ryuu thought, as he looked down to the ground to see all the asphalt flying by. However, he should not have done because no sooner he had the bike jolted as its front tire slammed into a pothole. "Damn" he yelled as he barely held onto the bike, but after that, the bike drove with a mind of its own its rider attempting desperately to regain control. "Get out of the way!" Ryuu yelled, as he noticed a man standing in the bike's course... |

You can't kill the Metal

After looking at the weird building for some time, just standing there in the same spot, it finally dawned on the robotic man what the building was. The building was a septic place, the place where all the feces of the world around him went, those were what the big pipes were fore. While the wires were there to give power to the building, to purify the wastes that would be turned back to water that would be drunk by some person in the world. It gave him a sense of satisfaction that he managed to figure out what it was. While the answer had come to him through his nose more than anything else, he was still happy that he figured it out. "Get out of the way!" Josh heard as some person yelled at him to get out of the way. While most people would get out of the way when someone yelled that, Josh was more interested in why someone wanted him out of the way. So, he would turn towards where the voice had come from, as well as where some engine noise was coming from as well. What he would see in front of him was a motorcycle that was out of control, and a person on top of it who had lost control. "Crap," Josh said as he would dive off to the side, just being missed by the bike by a few inches. It was a really close call and he knew it. If he would have moved first then looked, he wouldn't of had to get his clothes dirty. But it would seem that heaven did not smile on him today, as he was now dirty and wondering why he had almost ran him over. Josh would get up off the ground and look towards where the bike finally ended up, wondering how that person would fair with the out of control bike. |
