Ok, folks. Gotta ask this question. I'm sure anyone from NSL has at least wondered about it.

Who misses NSL? Do you want it back? Give your opinions and your vote here. Those of you who weren't on NSL are also encouraged to give your opinion.

So yeah, go for it.

What was NSL? I'm going to wing it and think its a Naruto Role Play. If so I am all for it as long as we keep CoC.

I'm indifferent to be honest. Either way, it's all the same - the community is what matters to me. I can write for any setting.

Doesn't particularly like the Art of Fighting, but definitely wants to be the King of Fighters.
Indifferent. The setting generally isn't too important for me, either.

Indifferent. Makes no difference where I RP so long as I'm with my friends.

If, by some chance, NSL was recreated however, I think it would have to be in a 3.0 incarnation. Finish the system revamps, update the history to place our story in line with what has happened in the manga since 2.0 was created, that sort of thing. Yes, it would technically mean that what we did on 2.0 never actually happened, but given how many issues that whole thing had, I wouldn't consider it a monumental loss.

If NSL came back, I'd RP. I know next to nothing about FF7 and I personally don't like the idea of being tied to the game, whereas NSL was set some time after and we did our own thing.

I vote NSL cuz of the system not the setting. I can play in any setting, but NSL had a much funner system. It allowed for limitless creativity and nurtured it, while CoC makes you fight for every speck of creativity.

If what Kenny said is right about the community being the best then we all have to agree CoC is the winner because I'm allowed here <3.

I'd like to add that NSL's system was much easier to understand. And I agree with Bard wholeheartedly.

only thing i miss about nsl are my 2 custom clans that i made. though one of them never kicked off they would still be fun to play. I don't even miss my village because i am kinda mad that people didn't help like they said they would and i had to count on Endless's pity to get even a smidgen of help. had such potential and would have worked if someone who held more respect ran it instead of me.

back to the topic at hand, I voted CoC though because i think that once we get away from the FF7 storyline and start doing our own thing like how NSL was, this will be much better if only for the Failed Experiments which we could do in here, but couldn't do in NSL without having an unlimited number of clans, which would just get stupid. So yeah sorry i am against bringing back NSL. it died, it happens. though it died before its time it still died.

and comparing NSL to CoC at this early stage is just retarded. its like comparing WoW to Warhammer. NSL 2.0 had been around for how many YEARS before it died? CoC has just been around for a few months, give it time. CoC has bugs, duh. NSL had bugs too that people complained about as well. and the system is slightly more difficult, but not by much. and creativity is just the same. look at how many unique FEs there are, how people have combined Materia into techniques, its just as creative but you have to work within the system of the world like you did in NSL. if you wanted to have a flaming fist in NSL you needed fire justsu skill and taijutsu. want a flaming fist in here you need a fire materia and hand to hand combat. not much different.

point of fact is it seems like the NSL vets are not giving CoC a chance. Sandy you told me last night that the only reason you want NSL back is because you miss Ishino, DBH misses his summoner, Draven misses the Uchiha, Bard misses the system that he was used to.

so my thought is that its WAY too early in CoC's life to have this kind of topic.

CoC has been around for half a year. It's had plenty of time Sarge. NSL didn't die because of anything in our control, either. It would still be going if it wasn't for a certain person...

Lets not all forget that CoC will NEVER be like NSL since FF7 will NEVER end thus giving us an infinite storyline that we have to follow. I just wanted to point that out since Sarge brought up how FF7 would end sometime soon, which it wont.

6 months isn't enough time luci. we were still tweeking things for nsl when it died. and yeah it would still be going on if those certain people you mentioned, which is why i said that it died before its time.

i still don't think people are giving this place enough a chance. I have heard this same thing again and again even before CoC first opened its doors to the public and we all miss things about NSL, but it seems like allot of people are having problems getting into their element in this place and are not giving this place a fighting chance and i think Sandy opened this discussion too early.

but that's my 10 cents and to those who remember the fall of NSL my thoughts don't count.

EDIT: and Gin the story will end. the last part of the FF7 canon storyline is right after advent children ends. that is unless i am wrong and there are a few stories that i don't know about, which is possible.

EDIT to EDIT: i meant DoC not AC, but again i may be wrong.

as much as I would love to bring NSL back I would not remake my summoner I did that had fun but that character changed so many times the origanal character got lost in the shuffle. I voted NSL cuase I voted NSL I could actually care less where we are as long as the group stays together to make a great rp board. To make a new summoner all I have to do is raise the required stats on Kiku then learn to summon. To be honest while I enjoyed rping at NSL it was the group not the anime that attracted me and kept me there. the group is here so I will stay here I mean sure I will have an off day and go type up a fan fic about Shoujo or one of my other NSL characters but I will come back and hey someday I might not just delete what I wrote but post it here for those that wish to read it to enjoy. so if it came back I would rejoin if it remains in the grave I won't lose sleep over it. for now I ma just going to focus on makeing Toby and Kiku the best I know how to make them.

I was hoping NSL because I was working on a system that would reward working in team, which is the spirit of Naruto: 3 man squads. I wanted to finish that but my attendance and the board went south.

There is a new game coming out, not to mention that CoC is still in Crisis Core which won't be ending anytime soon. In order to go through ALL of the FF7 Storyline and have a free forum CoC would need to survive for at least 5 years. While I'm not saying it won't, as if it died it would be bad, it will be a LONG LONG LONG LONG LONG time before CoC becomes anything like NSL in form of shaping the world.
