I said that based on the fact that you already have the player base to make a custom setting. Making one out of the blue and trying to get random people to join won't work, but you have people who you know and are used to playing with. All you really need to do is have the right set of rules. It's fine if you can't make things without some type of reference. It just isn't really your own work in the end. *shrugs* |

Coming from my own experience in Dungeons and Dragons, and other online roleplays I've seen many times new and original settings succeed. Though often times they do not work out in the end for newer members often times if the members are willing and the vets are patient enough they can get right into it as well. In my personal experience as well I've assisted in making several settings, one of which does have a bit of a following and its own mythos. Time and patience is all it needs to really get something going and working well. And its always good to have some sort of neat idea or premise to work off of. :P |

I guess I need to re-instate it once more. NSL making a come back is an IDEA. Not an actuality. Even if it were to become an actuality, it would not return for a long while. Yes, I have many ideas and possibilities for a revival of NSL. But, none of them are set in stone. In fact, think of them all drawn in a sand box with a stick. A simply gust of wind could make them all moot. Brainstorming is all it is. Will NSL come back eventually? Probably. Will it be back in a month or so? Probably not. It could, but most likely not. Also, I've thought about doing a custom RPG setting before. There's more complications to it than just the imagination impaired members who cannot partake. It's people who think things work a certain way due to the way they interpret it. Write a passage about how the world works and get twenty people to read it. Then get each one to expand on it and you would have twenty different worlds. Where as with something to use as a basis... it's easier to get a group of people to agree on how things work. Far easier. Would I love to do an original RPG design? Sure. Have I tried it before? Four times, Yes. But right now my priorities are: School > My Job (I need money) > > Family/Friends > CoC > Video Games > Other NSL isn't on the list and CoC wont be closing unless it randomly dies from inactivity or something I don't feel like imagining right now. XD |

I feel like this, and this is Tony BTW for those of you who may not know. You can have feelings and dreams tied to a plac elike NSL or you can even like this place. I am in-like with both. I think my connection is moreso to NSL cause i know more about naruto thna i do about FFvII but this is happening.... should not happen. How do you expect to spread your minds across two boards? It's harder to even have one board but you want to make it so all our minds and brain-power is split between two thing. It's true people can chew gum and wlak down the street at the same time; but with this your asking for something on another level. NSL is dead, it's over, finished. Live with the memories becaus eif it comes bakc it could leave a bad taste in your mouth and bad feeling in your mind. Run with CoC, live to love. Im not a FFVII whore like cloud and angeles ( sorry if your offended but you two are in love with FF7.) but i do love the site. it's here I made something pretty nice. I've met new people and through time forgotten about NSL. I may be saying this cause NSL left a real bad feeling in m mind with the type sof characters I had so say it prejudice but youy can't expect people to change again when they just changed. Stick with this or get out I say. |

I could never get in to the FF world. *shrugs* Not CoC's fault. Just not my cup of tea. Why I liked NSL better, but that's just my personal preference. And Matt, no one wants a perfect RPG. Well, I assume as much, unless you just want to be disappointed. What you want is something fun, even if it is flawed. Find your niche and play with it. My niche is having fun with requests more than anything else, even if its stressful. |

I voted for NSL because even though CoC is cool, I just never got a chance to play any of the FF games and I am just more familiar with the Naruto world. I will probably still stay on CoC and also join NSL just because I like torturing myself by trying to post in millions of things at once. ^-^ But I would like to see NSL brought back and I would help with anything that you need help with. |
