Chloe woke fitfully from her sleep. Her eyes didn't need to adjust fromt he dark and she looked around her room in confusion breathing heavily, her skin was covered in a light sheen of sweat. The onlty source of light was that of a streetlight out the window but Chloe could see bright as day. She threw back the covers and stood up running her hand through her hair and trying to remember what had woken her. She was dressed in a white tank top and shorts that were both disheveled and her hair was sticking up in different angles, She sat Back on the side of her bed as she remembered what had woken her. The memories of that night flashed through her head vivid as if they'd just occurred, the blood, the death ,the screams. Her screams. Chloe wrapped her arms around her chest and hugged herself her nails digging in and leaving marks where they pierced her skin. She let out a few strangled sobs and got herself under control. She looked down at her sweat coated skin and stood again. She stripped off her tangled tank top and went into the bathroom turning on the shower. Hot. All the way hot. She barely noticed. When she was done she dried herself off and walked back into her room. She rifled through her closet and found a pair of light white dress slacks and white stomachless tank top. She put them on and went back into the bathroom, still dark and looked at herself in the mirror. She'd combed her hair straight and it hung around her face in a loose veil, her silvery mirror like eyes stared back at her from the reflection and she looked away. She couldn't sleep again, definitely not tonight. Maybe not ever. She threw on a heavy leather jacket with a deep hood that was quite large on her going down to her knees. Putting the hood down she left her room and made for the front door. She quickly made away from the studio apartment and into the "upper" slums. She was different now but not stupid. The last thing she needed was to snap around a bunch of thugs and kill them all while half killing herself. She walked quickly avoiding the large groups of people , to distracted to care as she heard there blood pump in her ears. Her gun was in the inside pocket of her coat and she was probably in the mood to use it, but she didn't. She eventually found her way to a bar that was empty and walked in sitting down at the stool. "Gimme a drink."She said quietly to the bartender. "Aren't you a little young for a drink?" He asked his voice polite but his eyes scrutinizing. Chloe pulled out her Sentry ID card and flipped it in between her fingers showing it to the man staring at him mockingly with her misty eyes. The mans face paled and he silently got a bottle of some amber fluid and set it next to her with a glass. "Even Shin-ra employees pay up." He told her making her chuckle. She poured a glass and pulled out a couple of bills setting them in front of the man before downing the drink. She'd never really had alcoholic and she didn't know what to expect. It was terrible, perfect for her mood She thought as she downed the drink and reached to pour herself another....... Edited by Haine, May 10 2009, 12:43 AM.

A loud ringing could be heard as a door swung abruptly open and crashed into the wall behind it. “It will only take a few hours they said,” Spoke a shadowy figure standing in the doorway, “It has to be three in the morning.” The figure the reached to his right and flipped a switch, and in an instant, the lights came to life. Revealing a pail man dressed in a third class SOLDIER uniform stumbling into the room he called his home. His felt as though his bones were on fire, his veins like they had been shredded, and his muscles felt as if they had been pushed several times past there limit. His once brown eyes, now glowing a pail blue drifted over his room. His gaze stopped upon jus a few of his possessions, the very possessions that were nearly useless to him now. “Damn it, I never thought that process could be so hard on someone,” Ryuu whispered to himself, resting his cool hand on his burning face as he sat on the stool he kept by his guitar. To him the entire world seemed to be spinning around him, as his mind returned to earlier that day. When his father threw this all upon him, and no sooner had he thought f it he found anger coursing through his veins. Why had his father done this to him, why couldn’t he just sit and talk like a normal father? However, no matter what he thought he couldn’t shake the feeling that his father had some other motive behind his actions. Though, he could not come up a reasonable explanation, as looked to a picture of his father sitting beside his guitar, so he picked it up to get a better look. Though his focus slowly changed from the picture itself to his reflection in the glass, and before he knew it he had thrown his fist right through the frame. “Damn, he said as he grabbed his hand in pain, and in seconds he noticed his blood dripping onto the carpet, “Damn him I swear Ill make that man pay.” No sooner had he said it he caught another glimpse of his shocked reflection on the broken glass at his feet. That was it he needed time to think, better yet he needed to get a drink and he knew just the perfect place. But first, he had to change out of the ridiculous SOLDIER uniform. Within the span of a few minutes he found himself dressed in something more comfortable, a slightly blood stained bandage wrapped around his right hand, and a set of keys in the other. Where he was headed they usually didn’t take too highly of any Shinra members, but it was a perfect place to be sure his father wouldn’t find him… at least not yet. A loud roar came from the engine of the car before him as he looked into his reflection for the third time that night, but this time a pair of dark sunglasses covered over his new Mako Infused eyes, and as he was getting in the car, he noticed a long slender package addressed to him. A second later, he found his fathers name on the box as well with a card, and it read -My sincerest apologies Ryuu I know I was hard on you today but I had to make a point. I hope this will make you feel a little better. - With a sigh, he took the package and threw it into the passenger seat, “Just like him to try to buy his way out of his problems,” Ryuu said as he closed the door. Then before he knew it he found himself staring at the entrance to one of his usual hangouts, and he found the usual crowd outside the bar. However, once he opened the door he found the bar as empty as a graveyard. “Wow, dead night,” Ryuu said, as he made his way to the bar. There was only one other person aside from the actual bartender, and he made his way over and took a seat Setting the package from his father down with a thunk. “Hey Jim, the usual please,” he said to the bartender, he truthfully had no clue what the man’s true name was but over time he found himself calling him by Jim. “Man what is it with… Ryuu? Is that you didn’t recognize you with those glasses on your face. Man your out late aren’t you?” the bartender said as he began to dry a glass with a cloth, “And you know I can’t serve you alcohol.” “What? Since when do you,” He began to say when he noticed Jim’s eyes dart quickly to the woman next to him, “Ah, You know I’m kidding, Ill just take a coke.” He then pulled down the sunglasses for a second and gave a quick wink, and he knew Jim knew what he meant. Sure it was going to be soda, but with a little kick and it was just what he needed right now. Then as the bartender turned around to get Ryuu his drink his eye, he did a slight double take. However, Ryuu had the sunglasses up before anyone could get a second look, and once they were back on his face, he turned his head slightly to look at the woman. She didn’t really look to old: in his eyes, she looked to be about 17, 18 at most. Nevertheless, it didn’t take a genius to realize the amber liquid in her glass wasn’t ginger ale. “So what ha you so down,” He asked, as the bartender handed him his drink, and with the first sip he knew the night was going to get a little better. Though, he wasn’t usually one to drink to feel better, but tonight had to be an exception. Edited by Shadow Dragon, May 10 2009, 01:47 PM.

Chloe downed her third drink and already found the disgusting alcohol was giving her a mild buzz, that didn't stop it from registering when she heard another heartbeat join the bartenders though she glanced at him disinterestedly out of habit more than anything else. The Sunglasses and the package he was carrying caught her attention mildly as did the part of the tattoo that was visible around his eye that was only slightly more intricate than the cross on her neck. she stared at him for a moment with her mirror like silvery eyes before going back for her fourth drink and downing it.It scalded her throat as it went down but it faded quickly and she stared at the bar in front of her. She kept quiet as the boy and the bartender spoke waiting until they finished to speak up."If the kids paying you and you don't have a problem with it give him a drink. I'm not a fucking cop." She growled at the bartender . Since she'd entered the bar her eyes has slowly began to change color and were now a reflective shade of red as she stared at the bartender dislike on her face. If it had been a few weeks ago she probably wouldn't have been so laid back about it, but a few weeks ago she wouldn't have been in the damn bar because she couldn't sleep in her underground apartment. The bartender looked hurriedly away his face pale as he saw her eyes and he went back to cleaning the bar and the boy said something but she assumed he was speaking to the bartender and ignored him. She went to pour another drink but spilled it as she suddenly felt a nearby heartbeat slow and stop. "Damnit!!!!!" She said standing before any of the liquid could poor over the bar and on too her clothes. She sounded so angry the man behind the bar flinched but if anyone could see under her hood they'd see tears. She sat down at the stool next to the one she'd been in and poured another drink downing it before slamming the glass back down on the bar................ “You heard the lady Jim,” Ryuu said as the bartender, as he looked over to the woman. She defiantly didn’t see to be doing all that well, not to mention the half empty container before her probably meant she was slightly drunk. When she didn’t answer his question he jus assumed she didn’t want to talk, so he focused his attention to his fathers package. It took him a second to realize there was a letter attacked to the box, though he just took it and threw it away, and after he opened the box he had to drop his jaw. It was a beautifully adorned blade, from the awesome polished steal to the hilt. Even the engraving and the leather about the center of the blade accented its age. He himself knew what the blade was; it was the family heirloom that had been passed down for centuries. His sunglasses even fell from his face and toppled somewhere onto the floor, revealing his glowing eyes Even the date it was forged was lost, and even his father told him the engravings even looked to be as old as the ancients. Nevertheless, it was ever in pristine condition. Its worth was easily more than his father’s estate. His mind raced to figure out why his father would give him something like this. However, his mind was ripped from the sword yelled and stood up., and Ryuu slammed it shut in surprise. It appeared to Ryuu that she had spilled what ever she was drinking. “Aww, what a waste,” He said as she sat back down in a stool one seat further, trying to pass off his surprise. He then caught a quick glance at her neck, and the intricate cross tattoo that adorned it. He then caught a glimpse of the tears running along her face, ad there was just something about a woman crying that just bothered. Ryuu just sighed as her face was hidden by her hood again. “Is something bothering you?” Ryuu asked, as he tried to get her attention. Forgetting for now that he didn’t have his glasses on his face. |

Chloe shoved the glass and what was left of the booze away from herself before looking back at the boy as he spoke. She met his gaze levelly with her own glowing eyes which seemed to be burning now they illuminated the inside of her hood as she looked at him. " Why the fuck do you care? You're a SOLDIER aren't you? What are you even doing down in the slums?" She asked taking her Sentry ID off the bar and putting it into her jacket pocket. Even though she was mildly hammered she DID not feel like explaining why the fuck she was down here. It was bad enough she'd had to give up her sunny apartment for the dark and dismal studio one down here, or dark for anyone else, She did 't feel like getting herself fired because some psychotic bitch had done something to her damn body. What happened to her was her own business and it pissed her off something had changed her without her permission and it could completely ruin her life all in an instant. The blood. The blood was everywhere, the blood of her friends, the womans blood.........Her blood. She suddenly felt dizzy and fell backwards smacking her head on a table and causing blood to drip freely from her fore head and the glass bottle to shatter under her hand. "Damnit." She said sitting up angrily and beginning to pull the shards of broken glass out of her palm. As she did the cut on her head began to heal and closed up after a moment and cuts on her palm healed almost as soon as the glass was pulled out. A piece of glass about the side of a finger went right through her hand and she stood up as if she didn't feel the pain. She walked over to Ryuu and yanked the glass out of her hand causing the bleeding to increase and then slow and subside as it healed. " Holy Shit!!!!" The bartender yelled backing away from Chloe as if she was toxic, " Yeah, you could say somethings bothering me." She said throwing the glass from her palm onto the ground. She sat back down at her stool and looked up at the terrified bar tender. "Get me something else" She said putting more money on the counter her eyes still blazing, |

[OOC: If this is to much just let me know, I'll figure something else out. Just trying to show Ryuu's true personality...] No sooner, Ryuu’s question seemed to reach here ears she shoved her glass away and turned to look Ryuu in the eye. It would have been a normal reaction, but there was something different about this time. Mostly for the bright glowing red of her eyes, though it wasn’t much different from Ryuu’s own eyes aside from color it didn’t faze him much. However, the eyes did seem to have a sort of demonic allure to them, but then again the woman was halfway to a massive hangover in the morning. Her words didn’t even bug him much, hell he expected it in this next sector for they didn’t care much for Shinra employees. Though Ryuu was technically one, it was however, against his will in a way. Nevertheless, what caught his eye was when she grabbed a card off the counter, and one thing he noticed since this morning he had much better vision than before the Mako Infusion. Well it wasn’t a huge difference, but it was enough to catch a picture and the Shinra Infantry logo. But it made him wonder why she was interested in a SOLDIER was here, when it was just as much a question he could ask her. Sure, she could just be on patrol, but Shinra wasn’t one to bother with undercover jobs. Nevertheless, he was going to keep quiet about it for now, nothing could come out of asking her now. He would wait until she calmed down a bit. He was about to answer her when she appeared to lose her balance, and she went headfirst into the counter. The bottle she was holding even shattered as it slammed into the table, and as she sat up, he noticed instantly that she was bleeding profusely. This just happened to drive her question out of her mind as he got to his feet, “Um you ok?” he asked. However, she didn’t seem to be listening, and a second later, it didn’t seem to matter anyways. Though the blood was still there she seemed to be unfazed by it, and the actual wound seemed to heal up almost instantly. Not to mention the blood streaming from her hand seemed to stop as soon as she pulled the glass from her hand. Though, he didn’t reflect it in his face he was very unnerved by this, and Jim just seemed to lose it. Ryuu on the other hand was trying to keep hi composure, and he was doing a decent job at it. Though it got harder when she walked over to Ryuu and yanked the last large shard out of her hand, and small droplets of her blood landed on his face. He then stopped for a second to regain his state of mind as she turned back to the counter, (She can’t be all that bad if she hasn’t attacked me yet… right,) he thought to himself, and it allowed him to regain most of his cool. However, it was somewhat hard to talk to a woman who was unfazed by her own blood drying on her face. Ryuu, reached over the bartender’s counter, grabbed one of his cloths, and threw it onto the counter next to her. “Mite want to clean yourself up a bit,” he said smirking, as he turned back to the counter, “Jim calm your ass down, and get lady her drink.” “What the hell Ryuu, how she jus… then she… and then the eyes, not to mention you’re…” He began to say, but he was blindsided by Ryuu’s fist and collapsed to the floor. “Woops, just a bit too hard,” Ryuu said sarcastically, as he looked over the counter at the bartender, “Well… I didn’t want to talk about this in front of him anyways. But to answer your question I am not SOLDIER yet, and the slums are the only place you can get a drink when your eighteen.” With that said, he bent over to grab his sunglasses and put thm in his pocket. He then jumped over the bar and kneeled down to grab a few bottles of scotch, and as he stood, he placed a bottle before the woman. “Now how about yourself? You don’t seem to be your everyday infantrymen,” Ryuu said, as he placed two cups with ice before them, and he just waited for her to answer. Edited by Shadow Dragon, Jun 20 2009, 12:00 AM.

Chloe could tell Ryuu was up to something by the way his heartbeat slowly picked up and didn't even need to hear "Jim" fall when Ryuu hit him. The mans heartbeat slowly returned to a steady even beat as he hit the floor and she frowned. She caught the rag and used it to wipe the blood off her face leaving her skin once again pale as the crimson fluid was wiped away." I believe the correct term is Infantry person" She said sarcastically, She flipped her hood back as she helped herself to a bottle of scotch. The Scotch was harder stuff than what she'd been drinking before and she was pushing it as it was, this was her first time having more than a sip out of a beer before chucking it. The Scotch hit her. Hard. She downed the glass and carefully set it in front of her with the other four. The anger disappeared from her face and her eye's turned back to their silvery reflective color. You don't have to be nice you know, After that you KNOW i'm not normal. You could just order me to tell you or you'll snitch on me and get me fired. Hell you could get me fired just by asking for it." She said quietly. The rage from before gave way to depression as the scotch worked its way into her system. "You know.........your heartbeats faster than it was a few minutes ago.........." She told him looking at him, The silver around her eyes spread out and covered even her pupils making her eyes look slightly empty. " Did i Scare you?" She asked quietly before taking another glass of scotch and downing it. That made two scotches and....how many beers? Four glasses. She began to feel dizzy again and put her hand on the bar for support to keep herself from falling on the floor. She was really smashed. And she didn't feel like getting out of the house anymore, she suddenly just wanted to be in bed, Alone. She really didn't care if Ryuu was a SOLDIER or the head of Shin-Ra she just wanted to make him shut the hell up, that was the idea behind the scare technique. However it fell apart miserably as she tried standing up. She took a step toward the door and was about to take another when she tipped over sideways into another table knocking this one over She landed on her back the chair legs painfully digging into her side and moaned slightly. Her eyes were staring straight ahead and tears were once again streaming down her face that had nothing to do with the fall. She made no move to get up and lay there on her back waiting for things to stop spinning. Judging by how fast the world seemed to be going around it wasn't going to be any time soon. Ryuu poured himself a glass as he waited for Chloe to finish wiping her blood from her face. “Excuse me for the unintentional sexist comment,” Ryuu said in a passive voice, as Chloe helped herself to the scotch. Ryuu himself sipped from his while he watched her down it like a seasoned drinker. He also watched as the creepy red eyes faded to light silver, and all he could do was raise an eyebrow. This girl was becoming more interesting by the second. Though she intimidated him before he found she looked almost harmless when she didn’t have glowing satanic eyes. Not to mention she was getting somewhat drunk, and it was somewhat hard to be scared of someone whose motor skills were dimmed by such an extreme amount of alcohol. However, for some reason the words she spoke next got to him a bit. “Well you see due to my twisted since of honor I can’t allow myself to do that,” He said, as he took a gulp from his glass, “That and I could care less if Shinra found out or not.” Well he also doubted a 3rd class SOLDIER could get a janitor to sweep a floor, let alone get someone fired for something they didn’t already know about. “Oh, yea if you mean freaking me out and nearly causing Jim to piss himself then… wait you should probably let the alcohol clear out of you…” Ryuu attempted to say, though it was worthless as Chloe had already stood up and began to make her way to the door. When she crashed and burned Ryuu’s eyes closed so he wouldn’t see the worst of it. “Ouch,” he said as he swung the door to the bar open and made his way over to the fallen woman. “Told ya, I suppose you’re trying to make your way home? Need a lift?” Ryuu asked, as he offered his hand to help her up, “And I don’t think I caught your name, I am Ryuu Syncreed.” |

"Thanks" Chloe said defeatedly as Ryuu helped her to her feet, she had a splitting headache and the room suddenly seemed way to bright. "mmm Chloe" She mumbled as he mentioned his name She leaned on Ryuu heavily as she stood so she didn't fall over again. "I......Dun feel so good...." She mumbled as she looked up at him. Her eyes were wide confused as she struggled to remain upright, after a minute she gave up and collapsed onto one of the empty barstools letting out a weak moan. IF she'd had any sense left she'd get the guy to leave her alone. However she DIDN'T have that much sense left. Instead she sat still moaning piteously for a moment before sinking down to the floor where she curled up into a small fragile looking ball. Her head already ached and she couldn't even imagine what kind of hangover she'd have tomorrow. If she'd been able to she probably would screamed if she could manage it without killing her head. "Need to get home......" She said quietly her head pressed to her kneecaps. She stood up again and only managed to avoid falling by latching on to Ryuu. She kept hanging off Ryuu to keep from falling over as more dizziness passed over her and she gave a tired sigh. This was so pathetic. She looked up at Ryuu and managed to mostly support herself though she still clung to his arm. " Take me home?" She asked him her eyes wide and trusting . Maybe she should've thought it out more........or thought it out at all. She continued staring at him as she waited for an answer...... Edited by Haine, May 18 2009, 01:25 PM.

“Um, no problem. After all I was the one that brought out the scotch,” Ryuu said as he, attempted to support her weight when she leaned on him and she attempted to tell Ryuu her name. “Yea that is to be expected with that much alcohol in your system,” Ryuu said, though she collapsed back to the floor and curled up. He just sighed as he looked around the bar, to the knocked over tables and then to counter where Jim lay unconscious. It wasn’t the first time Ryuu ever hit him, hell it happened on a weekly basis when he was younger. This was a fine mess he more or less assisted in creating; he could have left the woman alone but nooooo. However, Ryuu was pulled back to Chloe as her heard her mutter how she needed to get home. “Well I suppose I can give you a lift I do have a car,” Ryuu said, motioning towards the door as Chloe grabbed onto him again. Any other man probably wouldn’t know how to react to the situation, though Ryuu had more than a fair share of dealing with drunken women. But the trusting eyes, and words did add a bit of color to Ryuu’s pail complexion. Nevertheless, he supported her as he made his way to his car, and would assist her into the passenger seat. Once he went to retrieve the case that held his priceless heirloom, and he hurried back to what was technically his father’s car. Then he found himself turning over the ignition, and throwing the car into drive. Ryuu then heard a faint yell from the distance, “damn it Ryuu you owe me for the scotch!” “Well, time to go,” Ryuu said, as he pressed down on the gas, and the cars engine roared as it pulled off. After a few minutes, he let out a sort of sigh, “So where exactly is your house,” he asked, suddenly realizing he had no idea where to go. |

With Ryuu's help Chloe stumbled to his car and curled up in the seat without putting a seatbelt on. She shut her eyes and breathed deeply as the world continued to spin. The streetlights that illuminated the city under the plate were painful to look at and made her duck down into the seat almost onto the floor. A moment later she began shivering violently as shills traveled up and down her spine. Somehow she managed to stay coherent enough to here Ryuu's question and she gave him the address of the building that housed her apartment in the slums. It wasn't far, It would've only take about a half an hour to walk there and about five by car. But if she stumbled down there, there was a good chance she'd never come back out. The thought made her shiver as she curled back into a ball and started rocking back and forth. She didn't feel sick anymore but the stress she had combined with all the booze she'd drank wasn't giving her a good time anymore. Lights and colors seemed to blend together and made it seem as if she was staring at something. Random disconnected flashes of thought ran through her mind. All to soon though the colors started taking on shapes. Bad shapes. She saw her dead friends. She saw the woman. She saw herself drained of blood. Her eyes began to burn red as she stared and a low guttural growl issued from her throat as she watched the images flash by. Then they were gone , replaced by the random colors again. Her eyes faded back to silver and a look of confusion and uncertainty crossed her features. She blinked and looked around the car seeing Ryuu and formed a few cohesive thoughts as the image stuck. “ Are we there….?” She whimpered . Her back was pressed against the seat and her legs were drawn up in front of her, she was still gently rocking as she stared at Ryuu desperately. Then it all faded back into the flashing images and she continued to stare lettingout a whimper every so often. |

Ryuu sighed as he felt the rumbling of the engine through the steering wheel, and once again, when Chloe told him the address. He was in such a rush to leave the bar that he ended up going the wrong way, but at least that was an easy problem to fix as he pulled off to slow down enough for a u-turn. However, doing so he noticed Chloe shivering rather violently and he wondered if she was shivering from the a/c. He was comfortable but then again he didn’t have about a pint of alcohol in his bloodstream. Nevertheless, he reached forward and turned the temperature up, and kicked the heat on in hopes that it would help… assuming she was cold and not suffering from alcohol poisoning. However, no sooner he had he heard could have passed as a low growl of a really pissed cat, a pissed cat, only it sounded much larger and much closer. That place was right in the next seat, and as he turned, his head he jolted the steering wheel when he saw Chloe’s glowing red eyes ablaze again and it caused the whole car to swerve. Though as he looked away to correct the car she seemed to calm down, for when he looked back he noticed he eyes had stopped burning with fury. “I believe so…” Ryuu replied as Chloe whimpered her question. Afterward there was an awkward silence as he kept the car going straight, and Chloe rocked back and forth with a blank stare on her face. He had to try to get her mind off whatever she was thinking of. “You know,” he said breaking the silence and pausing for a second wondering if he should continue, “Back at the bar you said I was a Soldier. Well it isn’t completely true, I was sort of forced into it all, I didn’t really have any say they just took me and put me through the process.” Ryuu then chanced another look over to the woman, and he looked right into her eyes. “It was the whole reason I was out there tonight, now I am just confused in what I should do,” he said, looking back to the road to take a look at the street signs, “Either I go and join Shinra’s military, or I now live as an outcast that is stereotyped as a Soldier. Have you ever had everything torn from you and left with nothing?” Edited by Shadow Dragon, May 25 2009, 01:15 AM.

At Ryuu's question Chloe let out a sound that sounded like a cross between a laugh and a hiss. Her eyes were still wide and dartign but she semed to realize what he had said."Lose everything..........Lost everything.......that woman.......lost my friends........lost my blood...........lost my life.......she took them......" She mumbled. Her face was a mask of pain and rage and her eyes sparked again before she slumped back tiredly still rocking in the seat and looking very small and fragile. That look was a lie now. If Ryuu had stabbed her earlier instead of helping her home she probably wouldn't have died. The only thing that could keep her skin marked for more than a few minutes was the sunlight. She wasn't fragile like she used to be. Not in that sense anyway. Her mind however was much weaker than before the accident. Direct sunlight burned her and just being near it made her feel hot and sick. It burned her eyes and blinded her painfully..........but she still missed it. She hated her apartment. The fact she didn't NEED a light in it, the fact it almost hurt to have a light in it. She scared herself now. Only a week before she'd seen her eyes change from shining silver to the colors of flames and punched the mirror in. It had take awhile to pick the glass out after the skin on her knuckles healed around it, Th healing also...........it was too much. So different. She was used to being stronger, faster than people. She was a warrior. But now everything was to different. She cried sometimes. When she was alone in her apartment. She cried for her friends. She cried for herself. She cried because of the woman. As she had been lost in thoughts brought up by Ryuu's question she had gone back to rocking gently. The alcohol still left her mind a terrifying mess but as they drove she realized he was almost driving past her apartment building and she shook his shoulder to get his attention, she meant to put a in than she did. As it was it was more like she just set her hand on his shoulder. "Wait.........we're here." She said pointing to her decrepit old building. From the outside the building was a complete mess. on of the first floor apartment windows could be seen cracked and dirty. There were three other apartments in the building but Chloe didn't know how well the other tenants kept their apartments. As the car slowed and stopped Chloe stared at Ryuu for a few moments before suddenly seeming very aware, "I wish i had nothing.......Nothing would be better than this." She said. She slowly opened the door and tried to get out only to sink to the ground again. she curled up into a ball next tot he open a door of the car and moaned as the steady beat of other peoples hearts pulsed in their head...... Ryuu kept his eye’s trained on the road as he continued to look for Chloe’s apartment, not really knowing what to expect. Though, his eye’s darted toward the passenger seat not a second later as he heard her laugh, or hiss. It was kind of hard to tell. Now he had done it, perhaps he defiantly said the wrong thing. Chloe’s face was once again for the third time that night set ablaze, but this time the look in her eyes tempted Ryuu to reach for the sword he had in the back seat. However, something kept his hands glued to the wheel, was it fear? (No…) he thought to himself as he looked at her again, his hand gripping the wheel so tight that the blood drained from knuckles. Nevertheless, her face while anger was there… it was undeniable that she was also in pain. The words she mumbled a second later confirmed his thoughts, and he instantly regretted what he had said. In his attempt to pull her from her problems, he had unknowingly plunged her directly into them. He instantly wished he had kept his mouth shut, if this woman was to show up in the obituaries tomorrow he would feel directly responsible. Why… why did this bug him, he had more or less brought pain to many people in his life. He defiantly was not the role model of the good, he had picked on many in his life. He had struck out at his elders when they told him what to do… He was defiantly a rotten child in his earlier years. Hiding behind his father’s status, and doing as he pleased. "Wait.........we're here." Chloe said, Ripping him from his thoughts abruptly, and he instantly stopped the car bringing it to a soft stop. He met her gaze indirectly, as she just stared at him for a few moments. She then seemed to just snap out of a stupor, and she spoke. What she said sunk deep into his mind, as she opened the door and though this wasn’t his stop he did the same. He was also aware of Chloe sinking to the ground as he walked around the car, and attempted to help her up again. His eye’s fell upon the decaying building she had pointed to, and Ryuu couldn’t help but feel bad for her. While he lived in a mansion of sorts, she had to live here and it made him curious in as to why. But he forced himself to remain silent, he knew the infantry payroll she should be able to afford better but her business was her business. “Well… need help to your apartment?” Ryuu asked holding out his arm to assist her. |

Chloe grabbed Ryuu's hand and managed to get to her feet again leaning on him for support. "Too loud...." She whimpered in response to his question. The heartbeats from the other apartments made her head throb painfully every time she heard them. after a moment she let go of Ryuu and started towards the steps on the outside of the building that went to her apartment. She managed to stumble up them after a couple minutes without falling but when she opened the door she fell forward into her apartment. She really was getting sick of falling she thought disorientedly She pushed herself up and looked back out the door at Ryuu. Chloe felt a strange giddiness and gave him a crazy smile and a small laugh. "You're outside!!!" She said in a sing song voice. Then her face turned serious and she stared at him " That's not right......" You should be inside." She said smiling again before ducking back into the room and almost falling again. Chloe went through the small open area that served as an entry way and into her bedroom which only had an open frame instead of a door, the other frame in the entry way led off to the kitchen. The lights were all off but she could still see fine. Still childishly giddy she grabbed a change of clothes and went into the bathroom and sturggled to get changed. When she came out she was wearing a pair of disheveled white sweatpants that went past her feet and a white long sleeved shirt with sleeves that went past her fingertips, her feet were bare and her hair was standing up everywehere. When she'd dropped her coat Chloe heard a metallic clink on the floor and now she checked to see what it was . Ahhh a gun.....right.....her gun. Grabbing it out of the pocket she put it on the dresser and looked around the room trying to remember what she'd forgotten when she remembered Ryuu was still outside. She ran to the door and then the guardrail on the stairs almost flipping over it as she came to a sudden stop. She turned to look at Ryuu again and moved to quickly making her lose her balance and fall. There was a lot of spinning and she found herself on the ground and in pain at the bottom of the stairs. Between the booze and the healing the pain didn't last long. Her injuries healed before they had a chance to leave a mark......Mostly. She stood up still slightly dizzy and looked happily at Ryuu. " That was fun." She said trying to raise her arms above her head. There was a slight crack and she lowered her arms quickly. "Ow. Ow.Ow.Ow" she whined grabbing at her left shoulder. It appeared she'd dislocated it in the fall. She looked at Ryuu her eyes wide and full of the same fear as in the car but now childlike. "What do I do? " She asked looking at her shoulder in panic. Chloe would have freaked if she knew she was acting this way. First she was acting more childish then she had when she WAS a little kid and that in itself would have made her want to lock herself in a closet and hide. And she was being such a baby. It wasn't like she hadn't dislocated her shoulder before, she knew ordinarily to put it back in place, with her new abilities it would've healed almost instantly, and even without them it wasn't that bad. And last, why was she trusting Ryuu? A lot of the people in SOLDIER were the scum of the earth. maybe it was what he had told her about not having a choice but she trusted him, she probably would have trusted him even if she WASN"T completely smashed. She looked up at Ryuu and she suddenly seemed taller. She realized she had sat down and went to push herself up forgetting about her arm. There was a sick crack and a gasp of pain as the arm set back into place. She stumbled back to her feet still slightly unsteady. "Ow" She said wincing. A moment later the pain was gone and she was smiling again foolishly, He still looked taller…... The fact she'd come back home to sleep seemed to escape her and she ran up to Ryuu and grabbed his arm swinging it. " Come one, come on, Come on. inside, inside, inside." She said eagerly trying to pull him to she stairs. After a moment she ran up to the top of the steps almost falling again and pointed eagerly at the door. "Come on" she said almost bouncing with energy. Yeah she definitely would have kicked herself if she knew what she was doing. But at least it felt better than earlier.......... OOC: Let me know what you thought ^ ^. As Ryuu supported Chloe, he heard her whimper about his voice. “Oh, uh sorry,” He said in a lower tone, as she let go of him and attempted to walk on her own. He felt his stomach unclench a little; perhaps the alcohol was slowly fading from her system. Well hat was until he watched her flop into her apartment, and then something a little odd happened. Her mood seemed to take a complete 180, she went from being depressed, to someone as giddy as a schoolgirl. “Umm, Chloe did you hit your head?” He asked quietly, but he face turned serious within seconds as she spoke again before she disappeared into her dark apartment. Ryuu slowly approached the door, and stopped just at the base of the stairs and peered into the dark building. No sooner he stopped he heard a fain sound from inside the room, as if it was something metal hitting the floor. He had never been so confused in his life, though when Chloe reappeared and fell down the stairs again he had to wince. “Well that had to hurt,” Ryuu said, as he walked over to her side only to hear her exclaim how fun it was. It was as if she was a completely different person, and Ryuu scratched his head in confusion. Only to be brought back to reality by her rapid “ow’s,” and he didn’t have the faintest idea what to do when she looked toward him in fear. Hell just minutes earlier he was wondering what he was going to do to make her feel better. However, now he looked into her face to see a very childish expression that only made her already young appearance to new level. Nevertheless, when she went to push herself into a standing position the sickening crack just dug right into is core, it was definitely not a pleasant sound. Then she was in pain for not a few seconds before a smile spread across her face again. “Hold on,” He said as she began to pull him toward her apartment door, and he couldn’t say he liked how this looked. If some one were to walk out of their apartment at that moment who knows, what the people would think. “Ok… I’m coming,” He said, as she ran to the top of her porch and beckoned him yet again. He did what she said as he passed her on the porch, and into her dark apartment. It was nearly as dark as outside, though the streetlights were more direct outside, though it seemed to get darker as he walked with his hand running along the wall to give him some sort of direction “Uh, Chloe, why is it so dark in here?” he asked, as he received a slight shock from his own reflection in the dark room as a set of sky blue eyes appeared off of something in the room. Then it was his turn to fall that night, though his foot caught something on the ground and before he knew it, he was doing a face plant right into the floor. He just lay there for a second waiting for some pain to surface as a sign of something bruising, or possibly broken. “Ouch,” He said as he lifted himself to a kneeling position, he didn’t want to stand up fully until his eyes adjusted to the darkness…. Or until Chloe turned on a light. |

"Dark?" Chloe asked curiously not realizing that the apartment would be black to anyone but herself. "Where's it dark?" She asked in confusion still grinning widely. "ooooh i know." She said triumphantly a few moments later . She walked across the the room to where the dimmer switch for the light was and clicked it to the lowest setting letting out a small hiss as the light struck her exceptionally light sensitive eyes."Foooooouuuunnnnnd it!!!* She said with another grin before walking over to where Ryuu was crouched. "Why you standing like that?" She asked him curiously copying the position. She waited a moment to see if he would answer before jumping up and swinging her arms wildly. She was just about to say something when her hand hit the bulb causing it to blow. Chloe screamed a keening cry that sounded inhuman as the bright light burned her eyes and blinded her as the room was plunged into darkness. The giddy mood she'd had vanished and she let out panicked animilistic cries as she scampered around the room. She backed into the window and knocked the shade down causing light from the streetlight to pour and illuminate the corner of the room Chloe stood crouched in. Her warm and naive expression from before was gone, she was crouched in the corner her silver eyes flickering wildly. she alternated between odd whimpers and feline sounds of fear and rage. the images that flickered across her mind were indistinct, shadows that seemed to change into another of her fears every time she noticed they're presence. She jerked her head to the right and scampered back as it caused the streetlight to shine right into her eyes. She scampered into the shadows and stared at Ryuu her silver eyes glowing gently from reflected light coming from the streetlamp, her pained expression and whimpers continued as she curled up in the corner......... |

Ryuu watched as a dark figure moved about the room, he then heard the voice of Chloe through the dark air. However, the way she spoke gave Ryuu the impression that she hadn’t even noticed the pitch-black room, and then again, perhaps she didn’t. After all, she didn’t seem to be all that much of a normal girl, with the glowing red eyes, and come to think of it, he even thought he heard her talking about hearing heartbeats earlier. Then he had passed it off, as over exposure to the beer, he couldn’t even remember all the times he had thought he heard things when he was plastered. Nevertheless, seconds later the lights came on, followed by her cheerful voice. Now that was truthfully all well and good, but as he was just about to right his posture, he noticed Chloe mimicking his current stance. “Well its what normally happens when people trip over coats left laying on the ground,” Ryuu said sarcastically, but moments later she jumped a little to enthusiastically and her hand putting the light out yet again casting Ryuu into the darkness as he stood up. Though he heard Chloe scream or at least what he figured was Chloe for the scream sounded for the most part…. Inhuman. Ryuu let a few minutes pass, hoping that his eyes would adjust enough to see. Though it wasn’t anything near what he had hoped for the room only ever became useless shadows. “Chloe,” Ryuu said into the dark he could just barely make out a human form curled up in the corner. There was also a faint whimpering as well and Ryuu though for a moment that she had injured herself. Temporarily forgetting about her rapid regenerative abilities, he took a step and nearly fell yet again. (This is stupid,) he thought, as he pondered a way to see through the dark. However, the answer came to him after his hands fount their way into his pocket, and he pulled out his sunglasses. Though, they looked like a normal pair of sunglasses they were in fact a Shinra prototype, but Ryuu hadn’t really paid any attention to the scientists he ‘borrowed’ them from. Though he did hear about their night vision capabilities. He then put them on his face for the second time that night, though at first it just made the room darker. But as he felt around the frame he noticed a few switches along the right side, and he pressed the first one. =Now Synchronizing with cell phone,= he heard as a feminine voice came to life in his ears, =Synchronization complete.= Though, he would have loved to search this feature out a little more he found himself pressing the next button, and a green light flooded the room bringing the unforeseen into view. The first thing he did was make his way to Chloe, and he watched her eyes darting around the room. She seemed…. Scared, was it the flash of light? Perhaps something else? THe only thing he knew for sure was that he wasn’t going to get the answer while she was in this state, while she was drunk and dizzy. He rested his hand on top of her head in an attempt to calm her down. Though a catlike growl nearly made him retract his hand, but he forced himself to keep it there. But before he could say anything a cool female voice spoke in his ears yet again, =Incoming text from sender dad, Ryuu I need you home immediately. = “Calm down Chloe, I have to go but take this, and call me if you need anything,” he said in a tone that was very much unlike himself; as he knelt down to bring himself to eye level with her. It was calm and comforting, not the usual harsh an unemotional tone he usually spoke with. Either way he found himself hoping for it to work, he then set a card with his cell phone number at her feet, and let himself out. Before he knew it, he found himself wishing to go back, hoping she was all right. He just couldn’t shake the feeling that her current condition was all his fault, but he had bigger problems to deal with now. He hadn’t exactly left the Shinra building with grace; they had assured him that the procedure was painless. However, that isn’t what happened, his body felt as if it were on fire, but he didn’t feel right back then, and he was quite right. It was more like his rage was in charge, and well he sort of stormed out of there. He revved the engine one last time, and let it grow quiet as he turned the key to the off position. Once he opened the door, he found himself face to face with his father. “Have fun? And I see you got them working, so how are they?” his father asked, his stern look a little fainter. It took Ryuu a minute to figure out what he was saying, but his father saved him the time, “The glasses Ryuu, how are they working. They are my departments latest,” he said, and Ryuu nearly felt over. “Um great,” Ryuu replied, pushing them up to rest on his head. “Good, now get to bed, you begin your training in the morning,” his father said as he turned around, and began to walk away, “Oh and Ryuu, next tie you throw a temper tantrum, don’t do it in the Shinra building.” In addition, Ryuu was let there scratching his head, and hoping the next time him and Chloe met it wasn’t at a bar.
