Take that above quiz. When you finish click HERE and add your type at the end of the URL followed with ".html"

My type was ISTP and it described me in ways I didn't think possible. Here is my description page.

Note: If you can't get your type working, post it here and I'll attempt to do it for you.

Cloud, I could have sworn you were INTP. Did you retake the test and get a different result?

As I'm sure you're no doubt aware, these tests, especially ones you find on the internet are not completely accurate. I recommend going to this site: http://personalitypage.com/high-level.html

And going over your description. These shouldn't "kind of" match you. These should be CREEPILY ACCURATE. So if yours isn't, you probably got the wrong result. After all, only you know yourself well enough to determine make that sort of call.

As for me, I'm INTJ, and I'm quite sure on the result. For those of you who know me, a brief description of the INTJ will most likely instantly remind you of myself.

For the lazy:
"Independent, original, analytical, and determined. Have an exceptional ability to turn theories into solid plans of action. Highly value knowledge, competence, and structure. Driven to derive meaning from their visions. Long-range thinkers. Have very high standards for their performance, and the performance of others. Natural leaders, but will follow if they trust existing leaders. "

Fits me to a T. Even if two people have the same type, the description should be very accurate. This isn't just something some teenage girl made up in her spare time. This is the Magnum Opus of many Psychologists working interdependantly.

Anyways, enjoy. You may learn some things about yourself that you weren't aware of, and some things may suddenly make a lot of sense.

Be seeing you.

EDIT: I just remembered something VERY important! Go with your gut instinct when you answer! And answer how you ARE, not how you'd LIKE to be. That's crucial in getting an accurate result.

I'm INTP.
I actually have a lot of trouble answering these questions for myself. Sometimes I ask my sister to help me.

People are ever changing, never staying the same for long periods of time. Maybe it just so happened that you are different then you once were, I know I am.

INTP and ISTP are extremely similar. Notice it's only a single letter difference. I think I figured out how the quiz determines what you are.

When you finish the quiz, it shows four different percentages. I believe that the percentages change depending on the answers (Duh) and the percentages determine the letters that pop up at the placement.

It could be possible I simply answered one or two differently and it changed the second percentage thus changing my second letter.

At least, that's my theory XD

I don't think that can be it. Unless I'm wrong, which is possible, I could have sworn I remembered getting over 100% worth of percentages on the test. I.E. 87, 38, 1, 1

Edit: Then again, there is still the ever changing numbers part which would add a lot of credibility to what you are implying, I didn't realize this until I ignorantly posted.

INFP. I've taken this test before about 20 times and gotten the same result each time.

Introverted, iNtuitive, Feeling, Perceiving.

INFPs focus much of their energy on an inner world dominated by intense feeling and deeply held ethics. They seek an external life that is in keeping with these values. Loyal to the people and causes important to them, INFPs can quickly spot opportunities to implement their ideals. They are curious to understand those around them, and so are accepting and flexible except when their values are threatened. They have the ability to see good in almost anyone or anything.

Might have changed lately though. Dun think so.

Three INFPs in a row. It's a hat trick!

Does this mean us three are like, really alike? I'm trying to find the resemblence!

Actually, Cloud, you're very much mistaken. Although the overall balance of people may change, your overall type was set in stone the same time puberty started. People do change, yes, but I have always been INTJ, and I will always be INTJ. This was explained very extensively in class to us. Further, INTP and ISTP are VERY different. The individual letters don't actually hold much meaning by themselves. It's the combination that matter. INTP's primary function is Introverted Intuition, meaning intuition and thoughts regarding your mind's inner workings. ISTP means introverted sensing, meaning something completely different. ISTP and INTP are DRASTICALLY different. Feel free to look into it, but you'll find that to be quite consistent.

Will being an INFP doesn't surprise me in the least.

And to touch on what Gin said, and to reiterate: No, your type doesn't change. It would take something utterly life-changing for something like that to happen. Like living out Castaway.

However, the test you're all taking is a little online doo-dad. It's credibility on its own is slim. You'll need to take the test a few times and read the overall descriptions until you find the one that's eerily accurate. Only then will you know your true type.

I hate to say it but you do make a good point Mattox. Regardless of how people change in the way I think their essential self really does stay the same like you said. I would like to say I've changed a lot, in terms of personality, over the years but my core essence seems to be the same.

It, however, requires you to completely know yourself. I didn't know I had a spine until lately.

If you don't realize part of your 'essence' or refuse to acknowledge it, you end up kinda screwed in that sense.

Matty, Willy, and Rippy all got their ones dead-on. Gin's sounded about right as well.

Reading most of those personality things, I reckon I relate to all of them just as equally x_x

Having one's personality set in stone since puberty is something I'm going to call bullshit on.

I have personally witnessed peoples entire persona change over the course of specific events making them an entirely different person. One of which is my younger brother.

To further back my statement, the first time I took the test I wasn't sure how I felt about some of the answers. I went with my gut when answering them and it's very possible my gut told me different after Mattox.

Now, in a programmers eyes (And from making online quiz's before).

Each question answered on that quiz will increase your rank for a certain aspect. Answering two questions differently than last time WILL change something about your result.

...Cloud, you're missing the point. As I mentioned before, these tests are internet based, the ones that you're taking that is. I already addressed that in that they're inaccurate and unreliable. I also mentioned that it's up to you, the reader, to make the final call on what type you are. In everyone I know, from my class to others I've discussed this with, it's been uncannily accurate.

I also mentioned that in the event of extremely dramatic events, these COULD change, but they usually do not. Fun fact, though: Every INTP I've known has initially called bullshit on this test. Only after reading more on it did they begin to come around. I recommend you do the same.

I'm not saying everyone follows one of these 100%. But I am quite certain now that most everyone follows one of these to at least 90%. And one of these sixteen variants will be significantly more accurate than all the others.

This isn't a debate or an argument. It's up to you if you believe in these sorts of tests or not. If you're some sort of anomaly in the human condition, I suppose it's possible you could be exempt. However, that seems very unlikely.

And as a final note, which parts of the personality changed? Because these things don't really have anything to do with our specific interests, quirks, hobbies, or anything of the sort. It's all about preferences and patterns. Not all people of the same type get along, and indeed some will have very different interests and hobbies.

I got ENFP, and I read a lot of the stuff into it too.

We did this at the beginning of the school year, and then at the end for my English Class. I got ENFP both times, but the percentages changed a little bit.

But yeah. Upon reading into ENFP, its kinda ridiculous how much it fits me. Its kinda scary how insightful it is at times.

Apparently, I'm an Idealist Champion. xP

We have powerful intuitive powers. =O Which I've always thought was true about myself, except for when it comes to people who I find more complex than myself.

Edit:; Whoa... I'm the first person with an archetype that begins with an 'E'. xD
