Just your friendly neighborhood necromancer here to tell you of a few things that have happened. The first thing is that the prize list for the Battle Arena at the Gold Saucier has been updated with some new prizes. Click HERE to see some of the new stuff that's been added. Also, due to celebration of new prizes, a tournament will be held in the Battle Arena to crown a champion. Before I get too far, though, here are some of the details. Quote: Max of 8 people. (Might make it 16 if we get a lot of entries) The Gil fee for this tournament is waived. You will need to have a Battle Arena Gold Saucier profile to enter. Now, it wouldn't be a tournament if there weren't prizes to be had, and since this is a special one, the prizes are extra special as well. The winner of the tournament, and therefore Champion of the Battle Arena will receive this: Quote: Champion's Belt (One-of-a-kind) Description: This belt signifies that you are a champion! Weight: 1 Effect: +50 to Strength and Endurance, and may only be worn by the active champion. Cost: Special Victory at the Battle Arena You like it? It's quite nice. But that's not all. If you win the tournament, you will also receive any 1 prize that is available as a Battle Arena prize for free. However, being the champion also requires an obligation to defend that championship. What sort of obligation you might ask? Quote: The champion of the Battle Arena must defend their title at least ONCE a month. If they fail to do so, they will be stricken of the title. With great power comes great obligation, huh? But what about those who don't become the champion? Well, they still get prizes. Just don't expect them to be as nice as the one the champion gets. Quote: A loss in the opening round(s) of the tournament will result in a 10 BP prize instead of the usual 5 BP, while a win in the first round will result in 30 BP instead of 20. A loss in the semi-finals will result in a 20 BP prize, while a win will result in 40 BP. A loss in the final round will get the participant 50 BP. The winner's prizes have already been stated. Ummmm....Alrighty. I think that's everything. What if the champion has a thread up and no one replies to it within the month. Would that mean that they'd automatically lose their title even though they tried defending it and there were no takers?

If they have an open thread up as an attempt to defend their title, and their opponent doesn't reply/no one accepts the challenge, then it doesn't count against them. Its if they don't make an effort to defend it then it gets taken from them. But I wouldn't worry. If they make the effort to create a thread to defend their title, them I'm certain there will be takers.

Ok, tournament entries are now closed. I'll have a bracket set up to show how the matches will be arranged, but you won't know your opponents until the tournament starts. I plan to start this on Saturday to give everyone who wants the time to do some quick ST's to get ready the time to do so. Enjoy everyone, and see you Saturday.

Ok, I got brackets and match-ups done. I'll get them up as soon as I can find someone who has any sort of skill with computer programs who can post it up. <_< >_> Also, I'll have a betting booth opened up, so people can bet on the matches.
