Today, the world lost an innovator. A true musician. A legend.

Yes, say what you will about the man's personal life, but Michael Jackson was a performer the likes of which the world had never seen before...and we may never see one like him again.

A mere 50 years old, he was preparing to begin a new European tour when he suddenly collapsed. He fell unconscious and was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Regardless of what he may or may not have done within the confines of his personal life, Michael was an entertainer to the masses. He redefined what it meant to be a star, and he truly deserved his title as "King of Pop". The world will be a dimmer and far less eccentric place with him gone.

Michael...you will be missed.

I guess he just couldn't beat it.

No, but seriously, it's a damn shame. I was somewhat saddened by the turn of events. He was an innovator and a pioneer, and he will be missed.

Born a black man and died a white, he lived the best of both worlds. He was perhaps the only person my entire family enjoyed listening to in terms of music.

His death actually made me feel guilty for all the Micheal Jackson jokes I've heard and said (Matt made me laugh >=(). So I'll just pay my respects.

He was the King of Pop, as Elvis Presley was the King of Rock n' Roll. RIP.

He'll stay the King of Pop however, with the highest selling album ever.

Until I saw a short clip of him dancing at a concert, I never realised how awesome the moonwalk looked. >_>

Rounding out the week in dead celebrities is TV Spokesman Billy Mays (The guy who has all those commercials for selling OxiClean and Orange Glo) who was found dead in his home this morning.

His Vitiligo claims intruiged me.

But I like his music.

My friends were talking about him, and one of them said if you block out his face, Michael Jackson had a dancer's body, and it was hot.

<_<

Nothing says hot like the guy with the scary face and a fifty year old dancing physique.
