Chris decided to take it mostly easy today, or at least for the morning. All this really meant was no using up his spellcasting energy before his followup meeting with Stilz. There wasn't any restriction on doing physical work like his standard run of deliveries. He planned to let Nex come along, and today was the earliest he would be available...or so he claimed. The only real reason the first trial fell short was that he didn't have a full supply of power. Here, he will be at full charge, so to speak. Particularly since he had lunch just before the meeting this time around.

Chris arrived at the front door of Stilz's workshop, and decided to wait a few minutes to see if Nex would find the place. Chris lightly tossed the Thunder Materia to himself while he waited. He was tempted to show off the new skill that he developped shortly after the last meeting, but that would take up some of his energy, and at this time, he couldn't afford do to so right now.

“Vroom…VROOM VROOOOM!” Nex shouted to himself as his Mini Moogle Helicopter rounded a corner, knocking down a small child. Chris had given him some directions to some workshop somewhere in Midgar. Taking Lini would have been fun, but he was too busy eating ice cream or sleeping or something, Nex really wasn’t sure. He was getting close, and as he rounded the last corner he saw Chris leaning like a cool kid against the wall. The Mini Mog Chopper floated forward and then fell to the concrete as Nex leapt out. A metallic crunch echoed through the small area, but Nex didn’t seem to care.

“So, what’s up Chris?” He peeked around at the door behind Chris. “Are we going to…be secret agents or something? I have my Tux on, so we can, but…I don’t want it to get ruined. It costs like, one hundred gil every time it happens and it happens like EVERY damn day and it REALLY REALLY sucks and I hate it, so whatever we’re doing make sure it doesn’t ruin my tuxedo,”

Nex let out a breath, feeling a lack of air. He leaned against his vehicle and glanced around. “I wish I had a cool door to lean against….” He muttered to himself.

Candy was busy finishing the dishes in the kitchen when she heard the engine of a small aircraft landing near their home. Stilz was still busy tinkering in his workshop to hear it, something about 'improving the wave detector' and building a 'biometric scanner'. She gave a sigh as she finished drying her hands, then walked towards the front door. She opened it slightly, making sure to keep her foot firmly behind it in case it was dangerous. She peeked out, then up when she realized it was a human.

A small smile came to her lips when she realized it was Chris standing there, then opened the door and gave him a traditional human like bow. "Hello Chris kupo." She straightened up and gave him a bigger smile. "Stilz had been working in his workshop hard, ever since the last tests kupo. He says he might be able to improve the scanner kupo." She noticed that Chris wasn't alone, looking down at her height to a Moogle standing by Chris. "So this is your 'friend' you were talking to Stilz about kupo? Well come in both of you. Stilz is in his workshop kupo."

She hovered off the floor a bit, then flew to guide them to the workshop. She left the door to her two 'guests', hoping they would close it behind them as they entered. She landed a few feet from the door to the workshop, then walked up to it slowly. She put her hand on the door, then pressed her ear against it. It was a precautionary measure, since some of Stilz's creations weren't successful. Some had 'explosive' effects, and Candy wanted to make sure such harm didn't come to their guests.

After being satisfied with what she heard and felt, Candy opened the door for the two. Stilz was busy typing on a keyboard to notice, writing occasionally on a paper and scribbling out another. He managed to up the detection time for the machine, allowing it to pinpoint the wave length faster than before. Now he was trying to create a net between the last two readings to narrow down the search. Candy just shook her head and stood by to let the two guests in.

Nex soon arrived, this time not in his usual way: That is, he wasn't forced to make an emergency landing this time around. He bailed out for the sake of a dramatic entry this time. "Well...sorta." Chris said to Nex's question, "After all, what is a secret agent without the gadgets that would make everyone else jealous forever? However, we're going to need some of your help for developing such gadgets..." Chris then whispered into Nex's ear, "The first step is an engine that needs no outside fuel source to run itself. The engine is supposed to run on a form of energy identical to the energy we generate to cast the spells that make evildoers fall down."

At that point, Candy came out to greet the two. Chris turned to face Candy, then said, "Yes. This is my friend Nex. He might get a bit crazy at times, but he means well. Just be careful not to get him all wound up...I learned the hard way exactly how powerful he is." Chris then started following Candy to the workshop, "I think the main reason it didn't work out last time was because I only had three-quarters or so of my energy supply. But still, it would help to have someone with a lot more energy help out some."

Candy then checked to see if it was clear to enter, then opened the door. Stilz was hard at work. While last time didn't work all the way, it still gave him some useful data to work with. However, there was one factor that could throw things off, Chris thought, which was that he and Nex had different energy signatures. Chris would probably test that after Stilz could pinpoint the energy pattern needed.

Nex had to agree with Chris. A secret agent could not be a secret agent if he didn’t have cool toys to play with. J was a secret agent, and she had a cool watchgun and a grappling hook. Nex really wasn’t a secret agent but he had a badass robot. In any case, Chris revealed to the Moogle that they were all gathering here to work on some form of machine that ran off of magical power from Materia. Nex had gotten that idea a few times and had the schematics down for an Electric Engine but had not gotten around to actually assembling the thing yet.

Nex shrugged as Candy opened the door, closing it on his way in. The Mage let air flow into his nose and then frowned a little. This house smelled weird. He didn’t say anything, however. When they passed the kitchen, however, he floated inside and went over to the fridge. Peeking around and making sure no one noticed, he reached in for the Milk carton and began to drink from it. However, he realized that what he was drinking was not milk, but some nasty juice. The Moogle let out a nasty groan as he pulled the carton away from his mouth and then put it back in the fridge.

“You…fridge….LIED TO ME!” And with that the Moogle gripped his staff and slammed it into the center of the fridge, breaking the racks that held the cold produce and whatnot. Nex glanced around and then closed the fridge and floated back to where Chris was.

“I’m such a damn ninja,” Nex muttered to himself as he floated into the workshop and saw the work Stiltz was doing. “Not bad, Kupo…not bad at all…this is some good work…” Nex floated around the room, observing the things Stiltz had cooked up. However, all of a sudden, the Moogle got excited and started doing flips in the air.

“KUPOKUPOKUPOKUPOKUPO YOU WANNA SEE MY ROBOT HERE LEMME HIT THE BUTTON!” And with that Nex slammed the button on his remote, and a few moments later the MOOGLEBOT exploded through one of the walls and then remained stationary.

“LOOK AT MY ROBOT IT’S SO AWESOME!”

<"Translated from Moogle speak.">
Stilz looked up from what he was doing, noticing Chris walking in. He glanced to see Candy was the one letting him in, followed by a loud crashing sound coming from the kitchen. Candy left to see what it was, and a new Moogle floated into the workshop. He was floating around the workshop, looking at various things Stilz was working on and commenting on them. Stilz kept his eyes following the young Moogle, not sure what to do or say. He guessed he was a friend of Chris's.

A moment later he heard a shout coming from the kitchen, and Stilz just planted his butt right where it was. He knew that shout, and right now was the worst time to show up at the scene. It was a second later that the new Moogle got excited and mentioned something about a robot. Before Stilz could respond, a large robot broke through the wall holding all of his spare parts and just stood there. Stilz had to shield himself from the debris, lowering his arms as the wreckage cleared. He was surprised to see such a large robot right there in front of him, guessing it was the Moogle that made it.

Right then Candy came storming into what was left of the workshop, holding what appeared to be a small stick. <"Oh shi-!"> Stilz flew quickly and grabbed Chris, forcefully dragging him to the nearest wall that was undamaged and pressed against it with his back. He knew that look, and he knew what Candy held in her hand. After seeing the new Moogle break through his wall with a mecha, Stilz had a pretty good idea he was the target of Candy's rage. And he didn't want him or Chris to be side targets.

Candy marched right up to about 1ft from Nex on the ground, then pushed a button on the stick. It quickly transformed into a giant hammer, about twice the size of the Moogle wielding it. However with one hand she held it even with her body, then a quick jump brought her eye level with the young Moogle. Less than a second later the hammer hit the Moogle hard, with enough force to ricochet the Moogle off two walls before crashing him into his large robot and throwing both outside. Candy recalled the hammer into the stick, apparently calming down. She turned to Stilz. <"We need a new fridge."> With that she turned and headed back for the kitchen.

Stilz left the wall with a relieved sigh, then flew out to where the robot and the Moogle fell. He landed on the robot, looking down at the Moogle with a slight smile. "Two things kupo. One, it's a very nice machine and I'd like to know more about it kupo. Two, that was a very stupid way of showing me it kupo." He looked at what was left of the wall, cringing slightly at how much work it would be to rebuild it.

Chris decided to watch Stilz work, and not interfere too much. Chances were that any suggestion that he would have would not be in line with what Stilz had in mind. Nex, however, seemed to be prone to wandering. Chris facepalmed after Nex's outburst from the kitchen. "Great...we didn't even provoke him and he's already going wild." Chris said. Afterwards, Nex showed up with the others, then after a small display of rather childish behavior, pulled out a remote control. Chris's observations were that at least 85% of all single-button remote controls pulled out in the non-proximity of a machine summoned up that machine, regardless of where the button was pushed.

"Uh oh...I probably picked a bad time to leave the helmet in the plane..." Chris said, then braced himself for a wall being busted through by Nex's machine. Stilz gave a strong suggestion to go away from that wall, which Chris followed. It wasn't the robot that prompted the pull-away, but rather Candy's reaction...where she pulled out a collapsible Big Freakin' Hammer and smacked Nex around with it. "Jeez...it's a wonder why he doesn't have 1st-classers on him at this point..." Chris said quietly, "He's a phracking Walking Disaster Area. I just hope it didn't screw up anything...either he or his wallet will have to fix that up."

Nex didn’t prefer getting beat down with a hammer, which was why when he was blasted around like a ragdoll with one. He slowly crawled back inside with his finger in his mouth. He hit a button on a remote and the Mooglebot slowly walked inside, not doing any more damage to the wall. Nex did not say anything for a few moments, only keeping his left index finger in his mouth because apparently he had hurt it. Then, he glanced over at the section of the wall he had broken and floated over to it, his Thunder materia shining.

“I got this…” He muttered to himself and then quickly got the metal parts of the wall back together by melting them in place with heat from his Thunder materia. Then, he reached to his left for some glue or something and sealed the wall back up. This took him about ten minutes or so, and when he was done he turned around, dusting himself off. “I cannot fix your evil fridge, however, it lied to me and gave me disgusting juice,” He then continued to float around Stiltz’s workshop, observing the things he had created in his spare time.

After a moment, however, Nex turned, confused.

“Wait, what are we doing here? Some energy machine, right?”

Stilz was somewhat impressed with the new Moogle, especially using Materia to help rebuild the wall. How the Moogle was able to use glue to seal it back up, Stilz did not know. It was different from the other walls, but it was sealed and sturdy again. That's all that Stilz cared about right now. He took the few spare parts that wern't completely destroyed by the invasion and put them in a pile. He'd have to deal with them later, then made sure the equipment for the experiment was still functional.

It was, so he floated over to where the Moogle landed and asked about the energy machine. He smiled, then extended a hand to the new 'friend'. "We haven't been introduced kupo. My name is Stilz kupo." He motioned to one of the walls that wasn't destroyed, which was obviously had two large double doors to let in and out large machinery. "You could have just brought you machine in through there kupo. It's big enough kupo."

"Yeah, really. Most people use something called a door to go in and out of buildings." Chris said, "Never mind that. Looks like nothing important to research got damaged in that. Anyway, Stilz, once you're ready, we can begin." Chris said, then put himself into position to start another test run to get a good reading of the energy pattern for Magic energy, "I'll go first, since the parameters are pretty much set to search for my energy pattern. That way, if it turns out that Nex's is different, we'll learn a lot more about the specific patterns for spellcasting."

Chris waited for Stilz to give him the confirmation that he was ready for data collection before letting loose. "Hmm...now how is it that Nex can do so much damage with his spells, anyway?" Chris thought to himself as he waited, "Is it all experience, or is there some certain technque? Still, I should focus on not missing on a fast-moving target, first."

“Stiltz Kupo, eh?” Nex thought to himself. This guy was bigger on building stuff than Nex was. The Mage had some stuff he had built, but his only real inventions were the Mini Moogle Chopper and the MOOGLEBOT. He shrugged as he was introduced to the concept of a door. “I learned when I was little that if you go through a door, people expect you. Break through a wall, and people never see it coming,” Nex sat down against the wall as Chris prepared to do something. From what Nex knew, it was something about using magic to power some random stuff.

But apparently, after that it would power itself. The Moogle reached down for his Thunder materia and charged it a little. He then glanced up at the stuff Stiltz was working on. It was an interesting concept, an engine that required only one charge and then it would power itself from then on. Nex decided that not asking questions and simply watching would be the best course of action. Besides, he was curious to see what this Moogle had cooked up.

Stilz flew over to the machine he was tinkering with before and plugged in the wires running from the glove. He rebooted the system, allowing the changes to be put into effect after taking out a copy of the original settings and putting them on a disk. After the Aero power harpoon, it's good to have the original programming. He sat down behind the keyboard and looked up at Chris while the computer booted up.

"You're jumping a bit ahead there kupo. This isn't the bioelectric scanner, that is kupo." He motioned to another piece of work that was almost finished. He pushed a few keys on the keyboard, then looked back up at Chris. "This is an energy wave detector kupo. My theory is that the energy needed to use magic has the same wave length, no matter who uses it kupo. If we find the wave length we can try to duplicate it kupo."

After pushing a few more keys Stilz gave Chris the go ahead, hitting the enter key to initiate the scan. He watched the screen carefully, but kept talking. "But you're right, we will probably need to scan someone's bioelectric signature in order to give the energy an organic signature kupo. Something similar to the energy being used to power Materia might not be enough kupo. It will most likely have to come from an organic source, like the body kupo."

"Keep in mind that in some situations, you SHOULD be expected." Chris said, "Acting cute will only let you get away with so much. Same for being powerful and having loads of money. Eventually..." Chris then stopped himself after remembering what happened last time he was brutally honest about Shin-Ra, "Never mind. I would just suggest you be more concerned about your surroundings in the future."

Afterwards, Stilz gave Chris the go-ahead, and Chris charged up his Thunder Materia and sent a stream of electricity towards the machine. As he did so, Stilz mentioned something about that particular form of energy alone possibly not being all there is when it comes to spellcasting. "Hmm...Bioelectric signature?" Chris asked, "Does it in any way have anything to do with Limit Breaks, just to throw that out there. It might be the most likely source of getting such a signature in a recordable form."

“Bio…electric scanner…” Nex muttered to himself as Stiltz explained a fraction of what his machine did. It used some form of organic electric energy in order to power it. However, the Moogle made it clear that it had to be of organic origin, so just using regular electricity would not work. It had to come from the life stream, the true source of all power. However, Stiltz added something else, that using energy from the materia might not work, and it might have to be from the body. It was a very interesting concept. Nex went in closer to watch.

“Huh….” He muttered to himself again. Chris made a good point about surroundings, but the Moogle decided he’d keep his habits. They usually helped more than they halted. Chris then sent an electric wave towards the machine. Nex reached down for his Thunder materia as well and then grinned. It began to cackle, and then Nex pulled back and sent his own stream of electricity at the machine. Chris was probably holding back a bit, not wanting to damage anything, but Nex had a saying in life. That saying was “USE MORE POWER AND STUFF WILL BE AWESOME!”

It had lasted him through twenty years of life.

Stilz looked up just in time to see Nex pull out a Materia of his own. And seeing the sparks coming from it gave Stilz a good idea what it was. His eyes grew wide at the power surge that was about to be sent into the glove, as the electricity traveled in slow motion towards the machine in the young Moogle's mind. That kind of energy would destroy it, and take out all the memory held within.

A swift movement and the Caster Gun was out of its holder, just as Nex began to send the lightning at the glove. Stilz had less than a second to pull this off, and he hoped his aim was good enough. He channeled his energy into the chamber of the gun, as he brought it at the wire connecting the glove to the machine. He lowered the gun and fired, sending a magic bullet through the wire less than an inch before the surge reached the machine. The live wire struck the ground, sending the powerful surge of electricity into the ground safely.

Well safely was a relative term, as the crack of lightning against the solid ground created a small explosion that sent the little Moogle flying back. It was centered around the machine, however the protective glass in front of the machine kept it from recieving damage. Stilz however had to jump above the glass to shoot the wire, and was flown back into the wall. The Moogle slumped against it for a moment, regaining his senses. Then after he regained them, he shouted at the top of his lungs. <"Are you freaking out of your mind! You do not send over 200 volts of electricity into a sensitive piece of equipment with a max capacity of 100! Do you have any idea what would have happened if it actually reached it!"> Yes he was speaking Moogle, however it wasn't at Chris that Stilz was yelling. It was the crazy one that tried to blow up his work.

Candy came flying in at top speed, after hearing the explosion and Stilz shouting at the top of his lungs. The glove that Chris had on his hand was completely fried, as well as most of the wire leading up to the machine. The machine itself was alright, only a small dent and scorch mark on the ground and glass showed the explosion. She hurried over to Stilz, who was quickly recovering from his anger. That was Stilz, slow to anger and fast to get over it.

Stilz struggled to a standing position, then looked at Nex with a sigh. "I'm guessing sitting and watching isn't your style kupo. I'll make a glove and wire that can withstand more electricity kupo." Stilz looked like he was in a slump as he went to collect the nessesary parts from the spare parts he could salvage. Candy shot an evil glare at Nex, but said nothing. She just walked over and began to gather up the fried pieces of wire and the glove from Chris.

Nex apparently thought that it was a good idea to add his input to this situation. The result came close to thousands of Gil in damage if it wasn't for Stilz's quick identification and reaction. The sudden events caused Chris to cut his own power supply. Stilz was yelling at Nex, and for good reason. He could have blown everything up with that. "Contrary to popular belief, not everything works better with more power." Chris said, glancing towards Nex, "If that was level three, then go down to level one. If that was level one, then wait for me to finish. Let me put it this way. How would you react if that much electricity got sent to your mech?"

"All the more incentive to work on my skills, so that I can keep Nex in line." Chris muttered to himself as he went out to get his equipment. This was getting dangerous, alright. When Chris returned, he said, "Maybe we should keep him out of the process until we have a product that he can test. That way, we can say we tested it under the roughest conditions. Okay, let's try this again. This time, I'll position myself so that if I see Nex doing any sort of stunt like that again, I'm blocking him off, and sending him on an errand run where he has to pay for everything."

The situation and execution was perfect, but apparently Stiltz’s didn’t want awesomeness to go into his machine. The Moogle let out a sigh as his electricity simply rooted through the ground. “Ugghh…” He muttered to himself. Then, Stiltz started screaming in Moogle, and as he did, Nex began to laugh. “One hundred volts?” He said aloud. “How do you expect to get anywhere with a machine that only contains a one hundred volt limit?” He shook his head slowly. Stiltz then claimed he would make a glove that could withstand more energy, but Nex had a much better idea.

The MOOGLEBOT walked over near the machine and turned around. Nex had a few extra parts in the back in case anything got damaged, and most of the extra parts he had were in there anyways. “Sorry Chris, but you’d be wrong there. A fact of life is, the more powerful it is, the better. It’s not size, mind you, but power. In any case, if that much electricity got sent towards my machine I’d probably laugh. Here we go…” The Moogle pulled out a few wires and a few metal objects. “Anti surge equipment is necessary if you don’t want something that runs on electricity, Kupo,”

Nex placed the objects next to the machine. “Just hook those up and this thing oughta be able to take any amount of electricity. At least…yeah, it should take any amount. I’ve tested them myself,”

Stilz looked over at the surge protectors that Nex offered, then smiled. He still brought over the parts, but at least he was back in good spirits. Candy on the other hand wasn't going to let Nex forget what he almost did, and seemed to make it a mental note to glare at Nex from time to time. At least this time she didn't have her hammer with her.

Stilz spoke as Chris came back inside. "It's true, bigger is better kupo. But this machine doesn't do that kupo. It measures wave lengths and frequencies kupo. If a lightning bolt struck this machine at three different levels of power, the result would still be the same and will still take as long to process kupo. It's not a machine that scans faster the more electricity put into it kupo."

He began to reinforce what was left of the glove with a stronger alloy, and even made it adjustable for both human and Moogle. "Even if the machine could take it, it still would have taken just as long for it to find what we needed kupo. Besides, it doesn't even measure electricity kupo. It measures all energy kupo. Specifically it measures the energy traveling to the Materia through the glove kupo." He gave a chuckle as he picked up the reinforced wire. "The problem is that you sent electricity directly into the glove kupo. You need to have the glove between your hand and the Materia you're using kupo."

The glove was decent work, considering it was a little rushed to be made. But it would do the job. Stilz looked at Nex, then turned his attention to Chris. "Sorry kupo. But I don't think Nex is the kind to sit by and watch kupo. Let's let him use it now and you after kupo." He tossed the glove to Nex, then walked over to a machine.

This one looked like a tower of some sort with a ball at the top. On the side was a gauge with a digital number at the top. Stilz punched in a few numbers on the keypad, and the number read '-100'. "Alright Nex, your turn kupo. Put the glove on, then grab your Materia through the glove and cast the magic at this ball kupo. We'll see how much power you have kupo. Just make sure to keep it a steady stream kupo." He then hurried over and began to set up the equipment to record Nex's energy wavelength. If his theory was correct, then he could just use the same settings as Chris to find it. And he managed to get a bit closer this time, before Nex almost blew up the machine. After a few keystrokes, Stilz gave Nex the go ahead.

"There is one slight problem that you probably haven't accounted for, Nex." Chris said, "The fact that something designed to take more power is more expensive than something intended for less, and I don't think Stilz has that much money to spend on all the best equipment. If things weren't so expensive, I would have had the Seiryuu already." Stilz had mentioned that putting more power into it didn't speed things up any, "The goal was to maintain a stream of energy for long enough to get a good reading."

Stilz decided to give Nex a turn on the device. "Yeah. Much as I'd rather try to get everything by myself, it won't work quite that well." Chris said, "Although I don't doubt that Nex has enough energy to sustain a long enough stream of power to get a good reading, I should probably save my energy just in case something goes wrong." Chris then sat down somewhere out of the way and put his spear and helmet on his lap, and his bag of Materia in front of him, standing by in case Nex somehow screws up.

Hell yeah bigger was better. If there were robots that had to fight and one was sixteen stories tall and the other was the size of a human, guess who would win? Whichever one Nex was piloting, of course, because he had biggest and baddest robots ever, even if they were smaller in size. However, as Stiltz explained exactly what the machine did, he began to feel a bit of sympathy for what he was trying to do. He had been planning on blowing everything up for fun but he decided he’d be nice for once. Always being an entity of destruction COULD get a bit tiring after awhile.

Nex glanced down at the glove the Moogle had produced. It didn’t look much different, but the changes sure made Nex feel like he could pump more electricity into the damn thing. He caught it and then placed it over his right hand, and squeezed a few times. “Hmmm…” The Moogle mumbled to himself, intrigued. His left hand reached for the Thunder materia that was on his wrist and then grabbed it tightly with his glove. “Seems….fun…” He muttered to himself. Stiltz gave him the okay to start it up.

Nex didn’t REALLY want to blow all this stuff up, so at the beginning he started with a steady stream that was less than the power he normally produced for a Thunder, which was still a decent amount. He was trying to replicate the amount of energy Chris was producing. “Hey, I can hold this for around half an hour, how much do you need?”

"That's good kupo. Just don't try to cast the magic into the glove or the wire kupo. That's what that lightning rod is for kupo." Stilz looked at the readings the screen in front of him was showing. The device was working perfectly, even though it was a different glove and a different power source. And so far it seemed Stilz's theory was correct. The device was using Chris's readings from last time and going from there. It measured from one side of the spectrum, then the other as it began to narrow down the search. It wouldn't be long now, maybe 10 minutes as long as Nex didn't decide to blow stuff up again.

Candy brought out some cookies and milk about 5 minutes into the scan, and began to hand them out to Chris and Stilz first. She stood next to Nex and looked at the Moogle for a moment. With a sweet smile she put the last glass down and the remainder of the cookies. Stilz glanced up just in time to see the smile, then shuddered. He had a feeling that glass contained bannana juice with pineapple. Candy was not one to let things go.

Looks like Nex knew what to do from here on in. The claim that he could go on for a good half-hour made Chris think that he may have overdone it while he was doing it for a second, which was then replaced by a sense of relief that the chances were pretty good that the whole thing could work out. "I think he can handle himself." Chris thought to himself, "Better to leave him at that rather than risk having something go wrong, such as him misinterpreting words of encouragement." A few minutes later, Candy came back with some cookies and some glasses of what was intended to be milk. However, between Nex's scene earlier, Candy's expression, and Stilz's face, there was more than the off-chance that it wasn't really that. "Hmm...I'd ask Nex something, but that would be a distraction." Chris thought to himself, "Maybe Stilz will have an answer to that."

Chris looked towards Stilz, then asked him, "Was there, by any chance, more than one container of a whitish potable liquid in that fridge? I would go under the assumption that there is, as I don't think she'd pull a fast one on me that way. What did Nex find that drove him bananas, anyway?"

MOOGLE AWWWWAAAAYYYY!!!
Stiltz was satisfied with the work Nex was doing. That was what the Mage was aiming for. After about a minute, it began to actually get a bit boring, just sitting there pumping electricity, but Nex had declared he could do it for half an hour and he would do it as long as Stiltz asked him to. His head turned as Candy walked into the workshop holding cookies and milk. However, that’s what it appeared to be on the outside. The Moogle eyed his glass carefully, and then glanced over at Stiltz’ and Chris’. He didn’t trust that Moogle.

Nex, still pumping the energy, floated over to Chris’ glass and silently exchanged them, even though Chris was right there watching. He placed the glass of milk down and then dipped a cookie in there and took a bite. “Wuack!” He cried. “This milk tastes like…pineapple…and banana….uuuccgggh….” The entire time, Nex made sure not to disrupt the flow of energy, although there was a tiny disturbance at the initial swallowing of the cookie. “And I think these cookies have toothpaste in them!” Ugh, this is nasty!” The Moogle placed the cookies next to the Milk and then wiped his mouth off with his free hand.

“Bleck….I’d rather…eat….dog crap….”

Dynamite
Stilz was busy typing on the keyboard, and it seemed like he wasn't paying any attention. But he heard every word, and took a moment to respond. "Candy saw a different kind of juice on the market kupo. A mix of bannanas and pinapples kupo. That might be what looked white, as not even me and Candy like it kupo. It was just something to try kupo." He punched in a few more keys, then sat back and glanced Nex switching the glasses. He looked over at Candy, who kept the smile on her lips as she waited to collect the remains. But Stilz knew the slight twitch in her lips, and she was seconds away from grabbing the hammer because of Nex's comment of the cookies. She baked those cookies herself.

The machine kept reading the energy wavelength that passed from Nex's hand into the Materia, and was narrowing down the search pretty quickly. It locked line after line, wave after wave, until finally after 8 minutes from Nex producing the stream it finally had the exact wavelength. Stilz kept the machine running for the extra 2 minutes to allow any slight corrections. He then waved for Nex to stop, saving the information on a two disks. "I think we have it kupo." He stuck one disk in his shirt, just in case Nex decided to go crazy again.

The other he put in the other machine, the one he said was for measuring the bioelectric signature. It took the wavelength given by Stilz and began to run a complex series of programs and mathematics. A chamber on the machine seemed to be humming during the process, the light on the side slowly turning from green to red. Stilz looked at the machine with a smile, then turned to the two who were helping with the experiment. "Well it looks like we're almost done kupo. Unfortunately this is going to be the longest part of the experiment kupo. One of us needs to be chosen for the bioelectric scan kupo." Stilz wanted to be the one the pattern was based on, but since this was a group effort he wanted them to voice their opinions.

KurisuMurei
Doesn't particularly like the Art of Fighting, but definitely wants to be the King of Fighters.
"Bananas. Good on their own, but don't mix well with much." Chris said after Nex revealed what he had consumed that caused him to go...well, bananas back in the kitchen. Nex then made a negative comment about the cookies as well, "I think the banana-pineapple juice left a lingering bad taste in his mouth, and it's affecting how his taste buds record the cookies." Chris said, "I'd wash it out, but only after the tests are done." Chris then put his Water Materia in his helmet to get it ready for that.

After a few more minutes, Stilz finally got the data he needed. "Alright." Chris said. Stilz then announced the next part of the data. "Now for the next step, I'll take it from here. I'm not sure if Nex can stand still long enough to get that kind of data. Then again, if you want me to do something else, like find the proper pattern you're looking for, I can do that as well." Chris waited to see what Nex had for input for the situation, and what Stilz had in mind.
